It's easy to see why she was an early target for USC. She is an intelligent player who understands the tactics of her team and how to exploit the opposition. The Solar standout is playing some of the best soccer of her life right now. She looks the part of a college center back. She is a commanding presence for her side. She wears the captain's armband and does well with organizing her team. Maddox is a verbal commit to Louisville. She was a constant threat to the opposition's backline. She is fast and skillful. She is a player that defense needs to double because she can score from anywhere on the field if given any space. She finished the event with five goals and three assists. The performance she had against San Diego Surf - including two of the best center backs in this age group in the country - was jaw-dropping good. She finished the game with three goals, but some of the misses were highlight-reel worthy as well. She is playing at a different speed than almost anyone else in the youth game right now. When she has the ball at her feet, she just seems to hit turbo immediately and no one can stop her. She was good with her feet in intercepting passes and through balls. Her distribution with her feet was also noteworthy.
