Texas High School Girls Team Spotlight – Atascocita Lady Eagles

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school soccer season is underway in the state of Texas and until mid-April, then the State Tournament will be held, thousands of teams will be in action all across the Lone Star State competing for a spot in the playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Soccer will be following the action and constantly providing match reports on some of the most exciting duels and highlighting the players that are standing out for their teams. We'll also be presenting some of the most promising teams that we get to watch live so you know them a little bit better.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Atascocita Lady Eagles</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Atascocita Lady Eagles from Humble are part of the UIL's Division 6A - Region 3, District 21. The program has been quite successful as of late, having made it to the playoffs in seven of the last eight seasons. Playing as a central defender, she does a very good job of covering for her teammates when needed. She is physically strong, very mobile and intelligent to read plays, a combination that makes of her a very solid player in 1-v-1 situations and gets her always ready to make plays on defense. She does a lot of the heavy work for the team in the midfield, using her ability to disrupt plays and win balls from her defensive midfielder position. Trosclair covers a lot of ground in the middle and uses her positioning and her strength to regain possession for the Lady Eagles. She's very smart and quick on the ball, often playing with a single touch and finding her teammates in good spots. Keiser is also very good at dribbling the ball forward and exploring the open spaces. She's very aggressive and direct when on the ball, often trying to get to the end line to get crosses inside the penalty box. Delgado is a very gifted offensive player, having great pace, good dribbling, an interesting ability to finish from distance and get vision to find passes. Extremely mobile, she doesn't wait for the ball up top, roaming around the attacking third to find the best spot to make plays. Friday is very complete offensively and can create chances on her own, by sprinting with the ball or beating opponents off the dribble, or dropping into midfield and combining with her teammates.
