Chinchilla had a standout 2023 season for North County, leading their midfield to a Maryland 4A Regional Semifinal appearance. He is a very efficient midfielder that can lace together long possessions from the defensive third and help kickstart the attack. As a sophomore, he was named to the MACS All-State Second Team and has been called up to Guatemala’s U17 National Team for the CONCACAF World Cup Qualification Tournament.
Graham Putnam
Graham Putnam
Putnam was a key contributor in Brunswick’s title run to the Maryland State 1A Championship, scoring five goals during the regular season and tallying three assists. For a veteran-heavy side, Putnam found consistent playing time through his proficient passing and ability to make the most of his chances. Defenses would very often mark his teammates closely giving him space to operate and exploit. Having played varsity in his freshman season also for Brunswick he will be expected to take on a leadership role next season which will mean more minutes and scoring opportunities.
Drew Lobley
Drew Lobley
Lobley has become a multi-tooled threat for both North Hagerstown and his club side Pipeline, playing multiple positions on the outside on the attack and on defense. With the Hubs this season, he added attacking midfielder to his toolkit and thrived, scoring two keys goals in their 2-0 win over South Hagerstown to win the Washington County Public Schools title. For his efforts, his was named to the Washington County All-County First Team and the Central Maryland Conference First Team. With Pipeline last season he was a member of the ECNL Mid-Atlantic All Conference First Team.
Anthony Nzuzi
Anthony Nzuzi
Although just a sophomore, Nzuzi was one of the leaders of a young Thomas Johnson side that were a tough out in the Central Maryland Conference. Under intense pressure, he persevered, making excellent decisions with his passes and quality dribbles at opponents. For his efforts, he was named to the Frederick County Post All-County Honorable Mention Team and was a Central Maryland Conference All-Second Team member. He plays his club soccer for NPC Football in the EDP South Atlantic Conference and is one of the top club side in Maryland at the 2006 age level.
Shalom Adja
Shalom Adja
Adja took up the challenge of being Mt. Hebron’s top attacking option and thrived, scoring 11 goals and tallying four assists for the Vikings. The young side made the Maryland 3A Playoffs in part due to Adja’s ability to create scoring chances from anywhere on the pitch. He hass a knack for putting the perfect shot on target with the right amount of speed and pace behind the ball. He was named to the Howard County Times All-County First Team this season and was named to US Youth Soccer’s Best XI last season at the Regional Championships for SAC.
Price was named to the MIAA All-Conference Team after a standout sophomore season at Archbishop Curley. He was critical to their Semifinal in the MIAA playoffs, netting a brace in the second half of their 5-4 win over McDonough in the Quarterfinal Round. Archbishop will be returning a rising junior heavy side next season, including Price who will be looked upon as one of the top midfielders in the MIAA next season. Expect a big season for him at Pipeline in both the midfield and in the attack this spring.
