Despite falling in the first round of the state playoffs last season, the team has come back strong and currently boasts a 3-3-1 record. The squad has numerous players that have already made significant contributions this season, here are a few that should make a major impact of the successes of the squad this season.

Reagan Lohr Reagan Lohr M Wakefield | 2024 NC , a member of the Class of 2024, is a standout player for Wakefield High School. She currently plays for the NCFC 06 ECNL National League club team, as well. Her powerful strike and confident first touch make her a formidable opponent. She has already scored three goals this season. Lohr has also earned numerous accolades, including being named an ECNL player to watch and was named an all conference athlete during her freshman and sophomore season.

, a member of the Class of 2025, was a freshman starter on the Wakefield High School varsity team last season. Swank plays centerback and is known for her intelligence on the field, dominance in the air, and positional soundness. She currently plays for the NCFC 07 ECNL club team and has already earned an All-Conference Academic award last season.

Camryn Zimmerman, a member of the Class of 2026, is a rising star on the Wakefield High School team. She currently plays for the NCFC 08 Elite Girls – ECRL club team and has already scored three goals this season from the centerback position. Zimmerman has also earned numerous accolades, including being a member of the 2022 NC State Cup Championship team at NCFC for the 2008s, a member of the NC ODP Team 1 for both 2022 and 2023, and the 2021-2022 Offensive player of the year at Thales Academy. Camryn’s drive will certainly take her places. She is intelligent on and off the ball and has the athletic tools to be a top level player.

Mallory Stroud, a member of the Class of 2025, is a talented striker for Wakefield High School. She currently plays for the 07 NCFC ECNLRL Premier club team and has already scored two goals this season for Wakefield. Stroud is known for her excellent speed and calm finishing in front of the goal, as well as her ability to incorporate her teammates while being selfish in goal-scoring situations. She has already played 175 minutes in the first three matches of the season. Stroud also had an incredible showing at the Disney Showcase in 2022, registering 2 goals and 1 assist throughout that weekend.

Keighan Whitlock, a member of the Class of 2026, is a powerful midfielder for Wakefield High School. She currently plays for the 08 NCFC ECNLRL Premier club team and was a member of the 2022 Triangle Catholic Schools Athletic Conference (TCASC) Champions at Saint Raphael Catholic School. Whitlock is a simple decision-maker on the field who keeps possession well and is powerful in her tackling. She has registered 275 minutes in first 6 matches as a freshman. We look forward to seeing her increase in confidence over the course of the season while adding some goals and assists to the stat line.
