As part of the scouting process for that class, PrepSoccer scouts saw a number of 2027s. While we don’t have rankings for that class yet, there were some players that really stood out from the action. Below is an early scouting report on the handful of players from that class.
Forward/Midfielder. Barber impressed me a lot with her play as an attacking midfielder. She is listed as a midfielder on her player profile, but I also saw her play as a center forward. She could be a weapon in that role too as she is a pressing player with good pace. In the attacking midfield role, she is buzzing around and getting into spots to create advantages for her side. She is better when she doesn’t have a defender on her back. With a little space, she can really pull the strings for her side.
Midfielder. Jacquin is another high potential player from UFA. She his a box-to-box midfielder with impressive feel for the game. She is very comfortable and confident on the ball. She plays with her head up. Good instincts for a young midfielder.
Midfielder/Forward. Mize is similar to Barber in a lot of ways. Both can be cast as a forward, but both might be better as an attacking midfielder. Mize is a willing defender and will run the soles off her shoes while pressing. She has good close control when she is in possession and links up well with her teammates.
Winger. Saw her play on the right wing. Relatively quiet game, but saw the potential. She has a burst and a good control under pressure. Been identified for a US Soccer YNT Regional Talent ID event.
Forward. Center forward. Understands the position better than almost any center forward I saw from the 2026 class. She can play with her back to goal. She can link with teammates. She also finishes chances. Has all the pieces to be the top player in that position in the future. Adia Ritchie Adia Ritchie M GA is a standout in the midfield.
Saw her play as a right center back. Impressed with her quality defensively in a shutout outing.
Might be on the shortlist of best left backs in the country in this class. Unreal player.

Center midfielder for the Concorde Fire Platinum 08 ECNL squad. Good on the ball, reads the game well, and always an option for her teammates. Chapman has been identified by US Soccer scouts as a top player in the 08 age group in the region.
