It is one of the richest areas of athletic talent, and in particular the amount of talented girls soccer players is through the roof. Girls from Southern California are constantly and consistently earning scholarship offers, oftentimes to big programs. Speaking of that, here are seven girls who’s names should be talked about on the recruiting trail very soon.
Mila Brach Mila Brach 5'5" | F Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, CA) | 2025 CA , Forward/Outside Defender, Notre Dame-Sherman Oaks, Class of 2025
Brach recently finished her sophomore season at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks where she was a versatile player as she played forward on both sides as well as playing as an outside back. She’s great on the outside, either up front or in the back, because she is incredibly fast and pushes up. Brach plays with speed, she plays with energy and intensity. She has an aggressive playing style, but just because she’s fast and intense and energetic, it doesn’t mean she’s not in control. She’s a very gifted player who is calm on the ball. Brach plays club for LA Breakers, playing for the 2006 ECNL team.
Ireland Churchill Ireland Churchill F Eleanor Roosevelt | 2026 State CA , Forward/Attacking Midfielder, Roosevelt, Class of 2026
Churchill has a lot of great qualities, but her most important one is that she is completely driven to succeed. She is passionate about the sport. Churchill is a very gifted player, very creative and technically sound, but she has other fine qualities that really stand out. She completely understands the game, meaning she knows where to be on the pitch, anticipating very well. Churchill has a high soccer IQ and great instincts for the game. She is an aggressive player, as well as being an excellent teammate. She was the MVP of her varsity team as a freshman, she made the All-CIF Southern Section team, and was invited to the U15 US Youth National Team Camp. She plays club for the Slammers FC HB Koge 2008 ECNL team.
Kaylee Foxhoven Kaylee Foxhoven F Viewpoint | 2025 CA , Forward, Viewpoint, Class of 2025
Foxhoven attends Viewpoint High School in Calabasas, where she is a very fast, versatile and dynamic forward. She generally plays as the No. 11 and uses her creativity very well. She has the ability to get by defenders with either her speed or her cleverness, but in addition she can draw defenders and play a beautiful ball either along the touch line or whip a ball into the box. Technically sound, she has great foot skills. She is a highly rated player in Southern California from the class of 2025 and should get a lot of attention when her recruiting window opens. Foxhoven plays club for the Eagles SC ECNL 2007 team.
Gabriella Jensen Gabriella Jensen D Agoura | 2025 CA , Central Defender/Holding Midfielder/Forward, Agoura, Class of 2025
Jensen plays her high school soccer at Agoura High, where she was an All-County selection. She plays her club with LAFC SoCal, playing on the 2007 ECNL team. For Agoura, she will play forward, while for her club she plays central defender along with the No. 6 spot. When watching Jensen you will first notice how fast she is when playing center back or holding midfield. She gets back on defense as well as anyone. She can recover very quickly, or make up for a teammate out of position because of her speed as she is a track star. She anticipates and reads the game well, seeing what an attacker will do before others can. She is a smart, technical player who is calm on the ball, and not afraid to be physical when needed.
Gemma Ozturk Gemma Ozturk 5'8" | M Harvard-Westlake | 2025 CA , Midfielder, Harvard-Westlake, Class of 2025
Ozturk plays at an excellent high school program in Harvard-Westlake, one that has been climbing divisions in the Southern Section. She plays in the midfield, and is very versatile in that role. Ozturk plays club for the LA Breakers 2007 ECNL team, and when watching her play you will see a very skillful, technical player. Beyond her ability with the ball, or her ability to find space, she is also a very passionate player who acts as a leader. She is respected in this role because of how calm and composed she is. Ozturk also plays this game with a lot of passion.
Annamarie Park Annamarie Park M Chaminade College Preparatory | 2026 CA , Central Midfielder, Chaminade, Class of 2026
Park is a stud, playing up a year on an ECNL team. That does not happen a ton. She is playing for the Eagles Soccer Club 2007 ECNL team. Park plays her high school soccer at Chaminade. She features as a No. 8, and is just what you want and need in the middle of the pitch if you are a coach. She is very spatially aware, meaning she knows where to be and how to get there, always seeming to be in the right place. She is a very committed player, taking her craft and her training seriously and is proactive when it comes to improving. Park is a technically strong player, but also mentally strong as she can push through and persevere.
Presley Williams Presley Williams F Cathedral Catholic Varsity | 2026 State #72 Nation CA , Forward, Cathedral Catholic, Class of 2026
Williams is an attacking player to her core. She plays all across the top, mainly playing the No. 11 spot, but can switch sides and play the No. 7 or play as a No. 9 and be an out and out striker. Williams plays her high school at Cathedral Catholic in San Diego, playing club for the San Diego Surf 2008 ECNL team. Williams is known for a lot of things as far as her skills and abilities, but the one that stands out is her next level speed. Williams is an incredibly fast player, and this makes her ability seem limitless and she can seem unstoppable to opposing defenses. Williams is also relentless when it comes to putting pressure on defenders. Williams is also very technical, so she isn’t just a speed merchant. She can move quickly with the ball at her feet as well as when she is not in possession. And, despite just being a freshman, she is very powerful and hard to knock off the ball. Speed might be what stands out the most, but the most important attribute Williams has is that she is an absolute team player.
