To put a bow on the California All-Area teams, and to put a bow on the high school coverage and move fully into club coverage, here is the last All-Area team. The Northern California Girls team is loaded with players who are Division I commits, as eight of them are heading to play big time college soccer.

KEEPER: Drew Novoaes claims the keeper spot as the River City High and Davis Legacy 05 ECNL player is heading to San Jose State after having an excellent high school season.

DEFENDERS: Two uncommitted players are in this group, one of them is senior Caitlynn Drew of Christian Brothers who anchored the back line for a Section title team as she is someone worthy of playing at the next level. Speaking of that, Reese Burke of Chico is also a college-worthy player, and since she is only a junior she has plenty of time in her recruiting window. Lauren Spabmixay of Bear Creek, also a Davis Legacy player, is heading to play at St. Mary's College.

MIDFIELDERS: There are three players in the midfield and they are Maddie Hamm of West Park, [player_tooltip player_id='19972' first='Molly' last='Silva'] of McClatchy and [player_tooltip player_id='19756' first='Lauren' last='Hunter'] of Whitney. Hamm and Silva are seniors with Hamm heading to Grand Canyon University and Silva heading to St. Mary's College. Hunter, just a junior, is already committed to Santa Clara.

FORWARDS: Erica Grillone of West Park had a great season, and is a Stanford commit while [player_tooltip player_id='19951' first='Micaela' last='Romo'] of St. Francis-Sacramento is the third player on the list to head to St. Mary's College. Her high school teammate, Jaycee De Fazio is heading to Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Lily Thurman is an impressive young player, as she was just a freshman at Pleasant Valley and was the Eastern Athletic League MVP and scored 32 goals.
