<p>There's less than a week of play left in the soccer high school season in the state of Texas and from the thousands of teams that were in action not long ago, only 24 will make the trip to Georgetown for the State Tournament this week, from Wednesday to Saturday.</p>

<p>These were the best teams in the Lone Star State up to this point of the season and expect some tough battles for the six state titles to take place over the next four days at the Birkelbach Field. We've prepared previews for each division in order to get you ready for what's to come next.</p>

<p>The Wylie East Lady Raiders from Wylie will try to win their second state title in their third trip to the State Tournament after lifting the trophy for the first time in 2015. They have been very solid during the season, winning all their 28 matches and topping District 9 with 16 victories (and 103 goals scored and only three conceded). Wylie have been dominant in the postseason too, beating Royse City, Mansfield, Rockwall, The Woodlands and Bridgeland.</p>

<p>The Ridge Point Panthers from Missouri City have advanced to the State Tournament for a second-straight time after making their first appearance last season, when they were stopped in the semifinals. The team from Fort Bend ended the season with a strong record of 23 wins and five ties and dominated District 20 with 14 victories and two ties (95 goals for and four against). In the playoffs, the Panthers topped Cinco Ranch, Cy-Fair, Seven Lakes, Clear Lake and Stratford on their way to Georgetown.</p>

<p>The Lewisville Marcus Marauders from Flower Mound return to the State Tournament for the first time since 2018 - it will be their sixth appearance and they have one title, won in 2005. Their overall season record shows 24 wins, one loss and one tie and the Marauders triumphed in District 6 with 12 victories, one defeat and one tie (65 goals for, nine against). Marcus' postseason campaign had wins over Denton Guyer, Richardson, Allen, Northwest Nelson and Southlake Carroll. </p>

<p>The Round Rock Westwood Warriors from Austin are back in the State Tournament after more than 20 years - the last of their now eight appearances had been in 1999. The team had 13 wins, four losses and eight ties and ranked third in District 25 with seven victories, three defeats and four ties (31 goals scored, nine conceded). The Warriors were really strong in the postseason, overcoming Austin Lake Travis, New Braunfels, Austin Vandergrift, Northside O'Connor and Round Rock in the playoffs.</p>
