Surf came out ahead and won the group – Solar managed to advance as well as a WildCard for the next round.
Solar meets Penn Fusion in the Round of 16 game on Friday. Penn Fusion had one of the best performances of the day as they cruised to a win over Sporting Blue Valley and clinched a perfect 3-0 record from group play games.
Below are the individual standouts from the games PrepSoccer saw on Wednesday.
Noelle Clabaugh Noelle Clabaugh 5'4" | M Westtown | 2027 State #62 Nation PA , Penn Fusion 08 – Attacking midfielder. Good player. Skillful. Reads the game well. Scored a nice goal with her left foot. Showed good quality to let the ball run across her body and then hit the finish low and hard. Been excellent against Sporting BV. Dylan Steinberg Dylan Steinberg 5'1" | F Lower Merion | 2026 State PA , and Daniela Vogel Daniela Vogel M Gloucester County Institute Of Technology | 2026 PA were also excellent for Fusion
Catherine Cantu, Penn Fusion 08 – Cantu made a couple of quality saves in the first half against Sporting Blue Valley.
Wynn Generally, Sporting Blue Valley 08 – Generally is an excellent dribbler. Quick in her movement, she attacks space and keeps her head up while going at speed at defenders.
Muriel Gamble, Sporting Blue Valley 08 – Gamble strikes the ball with such pure effort. She is excellent on set piece delivery.
Meryn Primanti Meryn Primanti 5'6" | D Owen J Roberts | 2026 State PA , Penn Fusion 08 – Primanti had an excellent game against Sporting Blue Valley. The center back had a couple of really impressive tackles to stop the attack including one sliding effort in the second half. Brianna Bartsch Brianna Bartsch D Westtown | 2026 State PA was also excellent in the game.
Ava Reddy Ava Reddy 5'8" | M Downingtown West | 2026 State PA , Penn Fusion 08 – Love the way Reddy played against Sporting Blue Valley. I lost count of the amount of times she made an impactful play in the game. She read the opposition and caught out passes through the center channel. She did well when she had to delay an attack on the dribble and wait for teammates to help slow the counter. In possession, she made quick decisions on the ball. She varied her passes too, sometimes she went wide to an outlet and other times she looked long when the numbers when on through the direct route.
Zamorah Malinoski Zamorah Malinoski F Los Alamitos | 2026 State CA , Slammers Koge 08 – Malinoski had a hat trick in the opening 30 minutes of the win over Concorde Fire Platinum on Wednesday. Her first strike was a thing of beauty as she drilled a shot from over 30 yards out into the upper corner of the net. She also scored directly off a corner kick. The striker was too much for Concorde Fire defense.
Hannah Werdel Hannah Werdel 5'6" | M Foothill (Santa Ana) | 2026 CA , Slammers Koge 08 – Werdel had the assist on the second goal of the game. It was a wonderful service that found Malinoski open at the far post. The defensive midfielder was excellent in the first half. Julianne Richter Julianne Richter M Linfield Christian | 2026 CA was also a standout for Slammers Koge.
