Hard work, dedication highlights traits of five from Texas

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The talent pool in Texas was alluded to in yesterday's article, but something people should know about these athletes, is that they put in the work. They are dedicated and determined players, who get the most out of the talents they have, and then some. Here are five more that deserve all of the praise and accolades that come their way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='112753' first='Kailey' last='Aguirre'], Outside Defender, Grand Oaks, Class of 2027</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Aguirre can play on the left or right side, making her a versatile option in the starting eleven. She can be moved based on matchups or strategy. Aguirre is a hard-working, determined young player who will be starting as a freshman at Grand Oaks High. She plays for the Challenge 2008 ECNL team. Aguirre shows a willingness to learn, to be coached. This has helped improve her game knowledge and recognition of what her opponents are trying to do. She has great defensive abilities, but like any good outside back, has an attacking mindset. She can play as a forward or an attacking midfielder and she loves to put pressure on defenders. She has the whole package. Brink is fast, dangerous, not afraid to be physical and very clever. She pairs her want and desire to score with great technical skills as well. In the final third she is a nightmare for defenders, and to top it all off she can score from distance. She plays at Highland Park in Dallas and plays club for the Sting Black 2007 ECNL team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Claire Manis, Keeper, Wakeland, Class of 2025</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Manis plays at Dallas Sting as well, playing for the Royal 2007 ECNL team. She will be a junior at Wakeland High. Manis is very detail-oriented, paying attention to everything her teammates and the opposing team are doing in front of her. She works very hard, and is dedicated. She is coachable, and likable which are great traits for a keeper because they need to lead. She attends and plays at Hebron High. Nugent is a smart player. She demonstrates a high soccer IQ and an advanced understanding of the game. This makes her hard to beat as a defender. She plays with composure, on and off the ball. Nugent is strong and hard to knock off the ball when in possession. She is good when it comes to 50/50 balls, shows great technical ability, shows pace and makes passes with accuracy. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='27004' first='Lucy' last='Stenning'], Outside Defender/Forward, Flower Mound, Class of 2025</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stenning is a wide player, through and through. She can play as an outside defender or as a forward out wide. The Flower Mound High junior plays her club at FC Dallas for the 2007 ECNL team. She is a hardworking player, who is extremely determined. She competes and plays with a lot of energy. A fast and physical player, Stenning will want it more than her opponent. Her versatility makes her extremely valuable and she boasts excellent technical skill.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
