Ellis (Minnie) Kelly Ellis (Minnie) Kelly F John T. Hoggard Igh School | 2025 NC
Ellis was the player of the game in Wilmington’s 4-3 triumph contributing two goals and adding two assists. Her outstanding speed and footwork make her a nightmare to defend. Can beat defenders on the dribble and has a knack for cutting to goal. Great technical ability in tight spaces and also has great vision to find open teammates as evidenced by her assists.

Nina led her Princess Anne high school team to unprecedented heights in 2023 scoring 15 goals and leading the Cavaliers to their first ever region championship and state tournament berth where they advanced to the Virginia class 5 semi-finals. While she plays an attacking role for her high school team, she is very versatile and plays outside back for Beach FC. Has an attacking mentality while getting up and down the outside and looks to distribute in the final third. Takes on defenders with confidence. Named to the 2nd team Virginia class 5 all-state team.
Anna Wiggins

Anna had the dubious task of marking 2023 Mid-Atlantic conference player of the year Karina Peat Karina Peat null | F Ashley | 2025 State #29 Nation NC for a full 90 minutes. Her 1 v 1 defending was outstanding the entire match, and she did a masterful job at both ends of the pitch. She was quick to transition on change of possession and is also a threat in the attacking end while playing in tight spaces. In talking to her after the match she had a positive attitude even after a tough loss and is the type of player any coach should want on their squad.
Reese is everything you look for in a center back. She is athletic, tall and easily wins aerial battles on set pieces and crosses into the box. Wilmington builds out of the back through her and she is comfortable with the ball at her at feet and isn’t shy about taking available space and pushing the ball forward into the attacking end of the pitch. An excellent 1 v 1 defender who was named to the All Mid-Atlantic first team for her outstanding performance in the 22-23 season.
Highlights
Bella is a natural forward who has a nose for goal. Scored the opening goal with good movement away from the ball. Looks to attack defenders 1 v 1 and go to goal or distribute to an open teammate. Scored six goals for her high school team that went 12-3-2 and won the Southeastern district title with an 8-0-1 record.
