The 2026 class was especially impressive with depth and quality. The current sophomores stole the show in nearly every position from the player-showcase. Read about some of the standouts from the 2026 class below.
CJ Martinez CJ Martinez 5'6" | F Santiago / Corona | 2026 CA immediately stood out to me from the college coach-led training stations (passing, possession, and finishing). She did well at every stop. She has a great all-around game. Her two-way play shined in the small-sided games. She was eager for any challenge – especially defensively. The way she would work to shut down players 1v1 was exceptional. Then she was quick to strike in the transition. The effort and competitiveness translated to the full-field game, which was more than enough for me to feel confident in saying she is going to be a big-time player at the next level. She does so many of the little things well that some smart coaches will appreciate her game and prioritize her from this Uber-talented class.
I could write a few hundred words on what Phillips does well and why, but the anecdotal evidence she showed on Sunday is probably more impressive. From the slick dribbling display in the small-sided games that saw her work her way out of a trap along the end line to the finish in the full-field game that had one coach confused if she was right or left footed (the answer is probably both), Phillips was one of the best players on the fields at the event. Her best contribution (for me) was an assist in the full-field game. She applied pressure in the midfield and then looked to spring the attack quickly. It was a combination of all the things she does well.
Enriquez impressed coaches with her play in the midfield. She plays with her head up and quickly scans the field. She had one pass in the full scrimmage that split the defense and opened up the opposition for her team. The timing and vision on the pass is something that you don’t see often from the youth game. Enriquez has high-level potential.
Presley Henry Presley Henry F Murrieta Valley | 2026 CA was great throughout the Camp, but she really shined during the 5v5 games. She was her team’s leading scorer while leading them to a perfect record from that part of the showcase. I’ve mainly seen Henry play on the wing at the club level. Seeing her take on a starring role as the point of the attack for her group was eye-opening for her potential. She has a poacher’s mentality around goal and she scored in a variety of ways. Henry was on the wing in the full field game and found success there too, which was no surprise. She is skillful, quick, and excellent playmaker in the final third.
Martin made me check the roster immediately when I saw her in the small-sided games. I love the way she keeps control of the ball while dribbling. She has incredible balance and withstood a number of tackles while always keeping the ball exactly where she wanted it. Martin showed toughness too to handle the physical play from those high-level games. She is a gifted passer too. I think she’s just scratching the surface of her potential and could be one that comes on strong during the Spring events. Martin is one to watch from this class.
Worke was one of the midfielders from the Blue squad that worked really well together. They pressed hard and shut down passing lanes for the competition. They were very good at getting the ball into the attacker’s feet in the right spots. Worke’s high work rate will help her continue to earn the attention of scouts.
Ochoa was one of the players from outside of the two notable national leagues who impressed during the Camp on Sunday. Ochoa is a talented midfielder with great footwork. She is a motivated player who looked eager to face the competition from the top ranked players at the event. She did well in every drill.
Williams had coaches buzzing on the sidelines whenever she got the ball in open space. She is one of those players who has that extra gear for pace and it’s obvious immediately. When she gets up to full speed, she is tough to stop. Williams is a very good winger and created chances for her teammates as well as for herself.
Henry makes winning plays constantly and it starts the moment she stepped into any competition. From the possession games to the games to goal to the full-field games, Henry set the tone with her actions on the field. In the full field time, she was excellent at getting to the right spots and cutting out passes. She was willing to challenge in aerial duels and she attacked the ball out of the air on drop kicks from the goalkeeper.
