Set to take place at the Premier Sports Campus, in Lakewood Ranch, the event will have teams from the U16, U17 and U18/19 age groups, with as many as 230 sides making the trip to Florida to get some high-level competition early in the year.
Several clubs from Texas will be in action too, as Albion Hurricanes FC, Dallas Texans, DKCS, Solar SC, Sting Austin and Sting Dallas will be represented in the tournament, sending 14 teams to the event.
These Texas midfielders will be in the middle of what their teams do on the field:

A new face with Dallas Texans G08 this season, Montes will be with the team when they face Match Fit Academy, FSA FC and Heat FC this weekend. A lefty, she likes to play in wider positions and is very aggressive on the ball, going at defenders and using her pace to beat them and make plays. Montes is dangerous when taking the ball to the end line to make crosses or pass the ball to teammates on the edge of the penalty box, but can also drop inside and facilitate plays with her accurate passing. The midfielder, who can also play as a left back, plays with great intensity and does some very heavy work on the defensive side of the game.

Boswell and her team DKSC G08 are set to play against Indy Eleven Pro Academy, WNY Flash and Ohio Premier in Lakewood Ranch. A box-to-box player who contributes on both sides of the ball, she joined the team this season and immediately became a big part of it. Boswell does a very good of covering ground in the central area of the field and shielding the team’s backline, but is probably even more important in possession, breaking pressure with quick combination plays through the middle and connecting good passes upfield. Also very strong in set pieces, the midfielder has a good presence inside the penalty box, often getting on the end of crosses to finish chances.
Aras will be with Albion Hurricanes FC G08 when they play Concorde Fire Premier, Ohio Elite Soccer Academy and Tennessee Soccer Club. She’s a big part of the team’s game, heavily impacting the game from her defensive midfielder position. Aras is very active on the defensive side of the ball, using her mobility to cover the outside backs when they push forward and her physicality to shut down the central area of the field. She’s also a solid passer, who helps distribute the ball around, is excellent at creating space with quick moves and has a potent right leg, often creating chances with long-distance free kick attemps.
With Martinez in midfield, FC Dallas G07 are scheduled to meet Wilmington Hammerheads, Michigan Hawks and World Class FC this weekend in Florida. She’s a modern and dynamic player, who manages to stand out in one of the most talented squads of the state with her highly productive game. Martinez is very clean and reliable on the ball, often getting it in tough spots, under pressure and delivering excellent vertical passes to get the game going. She is very calm and can take her time on the ball if she doesn’t spot a good play, but often sees passes and movements off the ball that no one else on the field did. Martinez can also hurt opponents by driving the ball upfield herself, with quick runs through the middle.
Fuller and Solar SC G07 will have three tough opponents this weekend in PDA Blue, United Futbol Academy and Wilmington Hammerheads. The attacking midfielder is one of the most skilled offensive players in Texas and has an incredible ability to create chances. A quick-thinker, she’s very dangerous around the penalty box with her ability to feed her teammates with precise passes and when making quick combination plays through the middle. Fuller can also drop deeper to get on the ball and beat opponents off the dribble or break lines with her passing and be more active in the buildup.
