Below is a scouting report on some of the players who appear at the top of the rankings for this class.
Sisi Groo
Groo is a defender on Real Colorado. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events in the past – and took part in the Regional Camp last year. Groo is a dynamic player and is often deployed as a wingback, which utilizes her quality on the ball and her ability to break down the opposition. She is left footed. Groo is included in the Colorado rankings for this update, but it appears her future in the game might be with a professional club in Europe. She is a player to keep an eye on as she has big time potential.
Kotschau is a midfielder on the Colorado Rapids 08 ECNL team. She plays in an advance role in the midfield trio. It feels like she is a more No. 8 at the next level though. She does a bit of everything and has the engine to cover the whole field. Kotschau has played up age groups in the past and held her own against the best in the country. She has been one of the top players in this class for some time and would be considered the same from the 2026 group as well.
Smith is a midfielder on the Colorado Rush 09 GA team. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She took part in the Regional ID Camp last year. Smith is a right footed. She is clean on the ball. She uses her body feints well to create space. She had some standout performances at the Girls Academy event in December. Smith’s passing is another strong point of her game. She plays with her head up and sees the runs of her teammates – she does well playing into space and using the proper weight for passes. Smith is an exciting prospect and one of the best talents in this class.
