One club can hold their heads high with the Dallas Texans boasting several players that saw the Bears through to winning another championship. There were nine Dallas Texans on the roster.
Two of the players play for the Texans U19 ECNL team, with three players from the U17 ECNL team being represented. Two players on the Texans U16 ECNL team with the last two playing for the U19 ECRL team.
The U19’s are seniors Erin O’Sullivan Erin O’Sullivan M TX and Kate Askew, who play ECNL. Askew was a very key contributor with nine goals and eight assists. Ellen Muirheid and Megan Graham are juniors playing ECRL. O’Sullivan was a defender for Ursuline and Askew played forward. Murheid is a midfielder and Graham plays defense and in the midfield.
“I love training and playing alongside such a talented, dedicated and supportive group,” O’Sullivan said. “We are so lucky that we have that both through the Texans and Ursuline Soccer. We have spent so many hours together working toward our goals, so for it to end with us winning the State Championship for the second year in a row is amazing.”
The U17’s are Ellie Teachout, a defender, Ryan Fogel Ryan Fogel 5'7" | D Ursuline Academy Of Dallas Varsity | 2026 TX , a defender and midfielder and Susan Byrum Susan Byrum F TX , a forward. Teachout and Bynum are juniors and Fogel is a sophomore.
“Having older girls from the Texans made me feel comfortable right away as a freshman last year on the high school varsity field,” Fogel said. “We have some great Texans players coming up to Ursuline in the next couple of years, and I look forward to being able to help lead them in the same way that Erin, Kate and others did for me.”
The U16 players are sophomores Makenzie Majors Makenzie Majors F Ursuline Academy Dallas | 2026 TX and Lily Marquez Lily Marquez M TX . Majors is a forward who scored a goal and had an assist in the 4-0 win over Bishop Lynch in the championship match and was named to the 2024 All-Tournament team. She had 15 goals as a sophomore. Marquez is also a sophomore and contributed this season with give goals.
“A lot of what I am learning at Texans shows up on the high school field,” Majors said. “I am happy to get the win along with so many of my Texans sisters.”
