Besides scoring the team's lone goal in the match in a finish that showed how calm and composed he is in the penalty box, he was a handful for the Rapids' backline with his high-energy game. Morales spent most of the match playing as a striker, using his physical tools to get on the end of long passes and finishing any time he had a chance. He also helped on the wing, playing very directly every time he got on the ball. The forward also displayed great defensive commitment and dedication, putting pressure on defenders and dropping back to help the team when they didn't have the ball.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6623144b02fde"} /-->

SAFC B07 vs. Colorado Rapids B07

<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Thomas Canon","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"null","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"101","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Keller ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"FC Dallas","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"FC Dallas White also had a setback in their first match, falling to 1974 Newark FC 1-0, but Canon was a stud in the backline for them - unsurprisingly, the game-winning goal was scored when he wasn't on the field. Playing as a right-sided center back, he used his positioning and athleticism to make things harder for opposing attackers as he was always right next to them, putting pressure, every time they got on the ball. Canon was very successful with his interceptions and also did well when he had to track attackers beyond the midfield line, forcing them to play passes to their field. Playing in front of the team's backline, he was a destroyer for them, shielding the defense with great efficiency with his ability to cover ground. Martinez was very good at winning 50-50 duels and was the first to get to every loose ball in the central region of the field. The goalkeeper was under pressure for a large portion of the match and dealt with it well, making strong saves that kept his team in the game. Cardenas used his size, positioning and reflexes to make several stops and transmitted a lot of confidence to his teammates. Playing centrally, he used his physicality to get on the end of long balls with great success and was excellent with his holdup play, connecting with the team's midfielders and wingers. The striker was even more dangerous when he got on the ball near the penalty box with his ability to turn on defenders and explode in a quick and powerful run to the goal. Gardi displayed great mobility too, moving around the final third to find space to get on the ball and making great runs with it and behind the backline. He was heavily involved when the team had the ball and did and excellent job with his passing, dictating the team's rhythm as a deep-lying playmaker. Branch would at times get the ball from the feet of the team's center backs and every time he found good solutions to plays. His teammates also looked for him in more advanced areas of the field and that's where he made a difference with his vision, finding incredible through balls and passes over the top of defenders that placed his teammates in great positions to score.
