Six players from Washington are taking the soccer scene by storm, and they are players who are not graduating high school this spring. This group, made up of three freshman, two sophomore and a junior, are ready to take the soccer scene on this spring and make a name for themselves, which they have already started doing.

[player_tooltip player_id='28426' first='Sierra' last='Carlson'], Keeper, Cedarcrest, Class of 2027

Carlson is a freshman at Cedarcrest High and plays club for the 2008 ECNL team at Eastside FC. She is a very confident keeper, and became more so after her first year of varsity soccer and being surrounded by older players with experience. In learning a lot from them, she became more and more confident. She heads into the club season soaring with confidence. Carlson is a player that is very coachable, taking feedback an directly applying it to getting better. She is already an excellent communicator, keeping the defense organized, and she reads the attacking play very well, aiding her defenders in avoiding threats. She has an excellent side volley punt, she's comfortable with the ball at her feet and providing the option to build out of the back. Carlson owns her box, she's aggressive, owns every ball and is good about stopping shots and keeping goals off the scoreboard.

[player_tooltip player_id='28274' first='Khloe' last='Mahaffey'], Outside Defender, Sumner, Class of 2026

Mahaffey is a left-footed outside left back, and displays great versatility as she can also move up two levels on the pitch and play as a wide forward. She likes to get up the line and take players on 1v1, whether she is playing as a back or forward. She's aggressive and likes to take players on. She whips left-footed crosses into the box with ease, she is great about getting on the ball when a long ball is played her way. She switches the field well, she makes great decisions and being very coachable, she is always looking to grow and improve. Mahaffey attends Sumner High and plays ECNL for the 2008 team at Washington Premier.

[player_tooltip player_id='28044' first='Alexa' last='Newman'], Forward, Mount Si, Class of 2027

Another fantastic freshman on this list, Newman is a Mount Si player and plays club on the Eastside FC 08 ECNL team. She already has 10 goals in ECNL play and had 20 goals as a freshman during the high school season, making first-team All-State. Newman has a knack for scoring goals when her team needs it, because her competitive drive kicks in when the big moments come. She is driven, wants to be the best and wants to win. She can score from distance and she can find space in between defenders and slot home goals.

[player_tooltip player_id='162744' first='Ashton' last='Riggs'], Forward, Auburn, Class of 2027

The freshman at Auburn High plays for the Seattle Sounders Academy as he is a prodigious striker and a precocious young player. Riggs is very smart, tactically, displaying a very advanced understanding of the game at a young age. He understands space and where to move and when to do it. He is excellent with the ball at his feet, either taking on a defender or creating chances for others. A great communicator and leader, Riggs is on his way to being very special.

[player_tooltip player_id='59935' first='Avah' last='Snodgrass'], Keeper, Annie Wright, Class of 2025

Snodgrass is the one junior of this list of six, and attends Annie Wright Upper in Tacoma and plays for the Seattle Reign Academy, playing for the 2007 GA team. Snodgrass is a low heart rate player. She's stays calm in high stress situations. She knows when to be assertive and commanding in trying to proactively solve tactical problems on the pitch and knows when to trust her teammates. Snodgrass is an athletic keeper, one with good speed and explosiveness, and she is working hard to be even more so in order to be prepared for the next level. With an excellent work ethic, a positive mindset when it comes to forgiving a mistake she makes and with great communication, what you have is a smart, athletic and proactive player with great ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='167393' first='Aiden' last='Vannoy'], Central Defender/Forward, Sumner, Class of 2026

Vannoy has played center back for most of his soccer life, but plays striker at Sumner High. He's a versatile player who plays his club soccer at Crossfire for the 2008 team, one of the top clubs in the country. He is a player with a good blend of speed and the ability to move off the ball, using his acumen more than his speed in those cases. As a back, he shows great composure and an understanding of where the ball will go before it gets there. He's consistent, which teammates and coaches appreciate and attacking players know they are in for a long day with him at center back. He sees the field very well and, having played some midfield as well as forward this high school season, it has increased his understanding of the game. He plays a nice ball in, can hit a ball that finds his foot and is just looking to get even faster this club season. Vannoy is a player that really loves the game and has known he wants to play this game from a young age.
