2026 Girls National Rankings: 5 Forwards with Boundless Talent

Learn more about <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/how-we-rank/">our ranking process here.</a></p>   <p>Below is a scouting report on five forwards from the national rankings with endless potential. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">White is a forward on the Lou Fusz Girls Academy team. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID Regional events in the past. She is the captain of the Girls Academy National Championship side in the 07 age group. White plays as a center forward. She has quick feet and clean footwork. She can combine with teammates when playing with her back to goal, but she really shines when she is facing goal. She is tough to stop once she is facing goal as her pace is a differentiator. White can finish with either foot. Her sister is a Western Kentucky commit for the 2024 class. The younger Springs is a key part of the team that was ECNL Ohio Valley Champions three years in a row. She is a center forward who immediately jumps off the screen from game film. There is a lot to like about her impact on the game. She is a forward who can do a bit of everything: she can hold up the ball for her side, she has the strength to hold off defenders, she can combine with teammates, she has the pace to get behind the defense, and she is a finisher. There is the framework here for an All-American at the college level. Springs needs to continue to develop and work on her game. First touch and efficiency are the key traits to improve, but she is probably the player from outside of the top 100 in the rankings with the most potential. She is was All-State in two events for Track and Field. Musiek is a forward on the SLSG Navy 08 ECNL team. She is a versatile player in the attack who could play as the 7/9/11 or even as the No. 10 in the right system. My favorite part of Musiek's game is the quick decisions. She immediately springs into action when she gains possession of the game. The decisiveness has been a difficult aspect of her game for defenders to stop. She combines the rapid reaction with quick feet and skillful control. She is right footed and her team utilizes her quality in ball striking with her taking corner kicks. She provides a great cross from the run of play too. I think she's improved considerably during this season and could end up being one of the best wingers from this class. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnowusCRf_w </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">May is a forward with Youth National Team call-ups in the past. She was part of the Talent Identification event for US Soccer in Indianapolis in January. She was also a standout from the Girls Academy event in December. She is likely a winger at the next level and probably will have her choice of schools. She shined in January against the best defenders in the region in this age group and has been equally as good against older competition. May is right footed, but can play on the left and hits a very good cross with her left. She has quick feet and is extremely elusive on the dribble with her shiftiness. There is a hesitation in her game when she receives the ball as she almost seems to take a beat before she gets up to speed. The pause works in her favor though as she lets that moment of clarity dictate her next move, which makes her a difficult mark for defenders who try to anticipate. May's effectiveness in the final third makes her a top forward from this class. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Tansil is an ECNL All-American, ECNL Conference Player of the Year who plays for Connecticut FC 08 ECNL. She is a dynamic winger who is skillful with both feet. Her best attribute is her long stride as once she gets going, she is tough to catch. Usually with long stride-heavy players, they don't do well in tight spaces, but Tansil is the exception. She combines well in tight spaces and does well in breaking through the line of the defense with the help of her teammates. She can play on either side of the formation. She is right footed, but good on either foot and has been spectacular on the left wing this season as well. Considering the lack of depth on the left wing in this class, there is probably a more pressing need to recruit her into that role, but she has been a prolific scorer recently while playing right wing. Tansil offers a strong defensive game too. She is light on feet and quick to close space. She is a weapon in the press.
