It's not a novel thing for California to offer a ton of talent from each of each individual graduating classes. And each class tends to offer more of specific skills than of others. The early returns on the rising sophomore, the girls athletes from the 2027 class, is that they are incredibly fast and incredibly skilled.

Jadyn Bechtel, Forward, Legends FC

Bechtel is at Legends FC and plays high school at Apple Valley High. She is a tremendous goal-scorer with an absolute nose for putting the ball in the net. She can use either foot, and changes feet and direction quickly, using that misdirection to clear space and get a shot off. She's a tall forward, with long strides and good speed. One thing she does particularly well is puts the ball in front of her and uses her speed to outpace the defender and get back on the end of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='112216' first='Charlotte' last='Kamansky'], Midfield/Forward, Slammers HB Koge

Kamansky plays at Orange Lutheran during the high school season, and is a Slammers FC HBK 2009 ECNL player. She is an attacking player, through and through, playing the No. 10 and can play a forward position as well. She has incredible ability to score and to set up goals, because she is highly technical. She possesses the ability to make accurate passes at a high rate, and when on the ball, she does not wilt under pressure and she turns defenders quickly. She is committed to the game, committed to her teammates and committed to getting better as she gives 100 percent whether it be in a match or during training. She is getting better taking defenders on with the dribble, and is finding her aggressiveness in the final third.

[player_tooltip player_id='262611' first='Alexia' last='Lear'], Forward, California Elite SC

Lear is fast. Like, very fast. The Quartz Hill High and California Elite SC forward is an absolute burner, and she has foot skills to go with it. She can play either the No. 7 or No. 11 and uses either foot. She shows great agility when she cuts inside after burning down the line, leaving defenders in the dust when she cuts in, which opens up opportunities to shoot or to deliver a ball in. She's also very clever when using her great touch, putting the ball into space where she can use her speed to separate and then get down the pitch.

[player_tooltip player_id='157913' first='Kalyn' last='Savage'], Defender, San Diego Soccer Club

Savage is so versatile and she can play both outside back positions and play center back. She is a Rancho Buena Vista High product and plays club for San Diego Soccer Club. Savage plays with excellent aggression, using that and her physicality to disrupt an attack. She also has incredible speed, and uses it to run down strikers when she's playing centrally and to keep up with wingers on the outside. She also uses that speed to get down the touch line when the team is moving forward. She is composed on the ball and sees the game well, not letting pressure keeper her from playing a perfect ball. She is vocal, she was a varsity leader as a freshman and is growing in other areas such as 1v1 attacking and getting comfortable all over the pitch. Savage is also a starter on the Guam U17 Women's National Team.

[player_tooltip player_id='287752' first='Emma' last='Velasquez'], Forward, Torres

An All-North Yosemite League player as a freshman at Torres, Velasquez is quite a goal-scorer. She scored 37 goals during the high school season, routinely securing a brace or a hat trick. She shows good soccer instincts and anticipation. She reads the direction of the ball well, and uses her great speed to get to it first. She has quickness, agility and the courage to take on defenders and finds a way to get shots on target.

It's not a novel thing for California to offer a ton of talent from each of each individual graduating classes. And each class tends to offer more of specific skills than of others. The early returns on the rising sophomore, the girls athletes from the 2027 class, is that they are incredibly fast and incredibly skilled.
