The California class of 2025 is rich with talent on the boys side, and the San Diego area is no exception. These five players are all athletes that are excellent with the ball at their feet, they show great technical skills and ability, and what makes them stand out is how they are creative, yet unselfish.

[player_tooltip player_id='7756' first='Jack' last='Bottini'], Attacking Midfielder, San Diego Surf

Bottini is what coaches call a true No. 10. He reads the game like a field general, and makes an impact. He has incredible game awareness to go with his significant ball skills. He shows great vision, and finds his teammates with accuracy, making his team and his teammates better. He makes challenges on balls in the air and is a ball-winner. Good with either foot, Bottini shows a knack for scoring by getting shots with either foot on frame, with power.

[player_tooltip player_id='79493' first='Carlos' last='Delgado'], Forward, Chula Vista FC

Delgado is a left-footed player, a forward, but he does not simply play just the No. 11 as he can play the No. 7 as well. He is an incredibly gifted player, technically speaking, as he shows an incredible first touch and some clever, cheeky play. He's nimble and agile, and can get past outside backs with step overs, feints and other maneuvers. He has a great shot, and can score, but where he really stands out is his vision. He delivers perfectly weighted balls, he can side foot passes into the box and set up goals. He's also not afraid to track back, play defense and when he dispossesses a player, he starts the attack quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='6932' first='Aidan' last='Jennings'], Midfielder/Forward, DMCV Sharks

Jennings is a versatile player that can go between the midfield and a forward position. He's an incredibly smooth player who looks like the ball is stuck to his foot with his first touch, and never has a heavy touch when traveling with the ball. He maintains possession well, keeps the ball on a string and when he does strike the ball, he does it with authority. He is very clinical when it comes to finishing, and can get a shot off quickly with a one-time go.

[player_tooltip player_id='79459' first='Alonso' last='Robles'], Midfielder, Chula Vista FC

A conductor in the middle of the pitch, Robles pulls the strings as a No. 8. He's incredibly quick and shifty, and uses his athleticism to beat defenders. Once he beats a defender or finds space, he will go at a defense with the ball and after attracting more attention, plays a beautiful ball to a forward making a run. But what separates him is his willingness to continue his run, be a threat, find space and draw defenders away from the goal scorers. Robles is a ball winner in the middle of the pitch, with great composure.

[player_tooltip player_id='79458' first='Emiliano' last='Yanez'], Midfielder, Chula Vista FC

Yanez is a very dangerous player, and a versatile one. He can play as a No. 10, a No. 8 or move forward and score goals. He is incredibly creative, demonstrating excellent ball skills and technical ability. He makes plays when he's on the pitch, creating for teammates and himself, all the same. He beats defenders with ease as he operates well in tight spaces, and if you give him any space, he will create a shot or find a channel to play a ball to a teammate. He is very good at finding vacated space and being a threat, and once he gets going for goal, he shows that he is a clinical finisher.

The California class of 2025 is rich with talent on the boys side, and the San Diego area is no exception. These five players are all athletes that are excellent with the ball at their feet, they show great technical skills and ability, and what makes them stand out is how they are creative, yet unselfish.
