[player_tooltip player_id='147409' first='Kaia' last='Carruthers'], Forward, Beach FC, Class of 2027

Carruthers is another up and coming star who plays at Chaminade College Prep in West Hills and she plays club for Beach FC. She plays as a center forward, and she plays the game fast, with great speed and loves to press high. She also moves off the ball really well. As a receiver of the ball, she holds up play tremendously and can create from there for herself and her teammates as she can turn a defender or she lays off a ball to a teammate making a run off of her. She's agile and quick, too, not just a target striker. She's becoming more and more creative with experience, and showing more intention of scoring on headers in the box. You can see here just how good she has become.

Sophia Dias, Defender/Defensive Midfielder/Forward, Murrieta Soccer Academy, Class of 2025

Dias is the definition of versatile. Calling her a utility player doesn't do her value justice, because she is a key player who can play at all three levels. She loves to defend and attack, equally and is quite proficient at both as she can both create for her team and disrupt the other team. She plays in the back or as a No. 6 for her club and during the high school season played as a wide forward. She attends Great Oak High where she is a 4.3 GPA student and just recently moved clubs to Murrieta Soccer Academy. Dias has great speed, and this allows her to be a versatile player, as she uses it in all aspects of her game. When defending, she flashes her great strength, the physicality she has learned by playing with older players, and when attacking she shows great endurance and stamina. She consistently beats people to the ball, and she makes great runs up the sides, and will even make runs out of the back when she is defending. She is a high output player. Dias also shows very good tactical awareness and shows an uncanny ability to read the game. She anticipates her opponents moves very well and her tactical awareness also allows her to be a creative force. On top of all this, she had a deadly throw in. Dias appears to be a special player because of her mental and physical approach to the game.

The Slammers FC and Newport Harbor keeper is a player who takes the game seriously by understanding the physical and mental components of the game. She knows that a keeper's mindset matters so she focuses on always remaining composed, being intuitive, making smart decisions and being on point with her communication. She prides herself on being a leader, knowing when to make specific instructions and when to be assertive. This leads to smart decisions when it comes to stopping a shot or distributing, as she is brave and fearless when an attacker gets in. She reads the game well and makes quick decisions and smart ones as well. She is also impressive from a physical standpoint as she is athletic, showing very quick feet, excellent reflexes and good hand-eye coordination. She has good hands, and doesn't always punch, and also showing the ability to accelerate quickly, to make quick movements laterally and the ability to spring for a ball. She has worked very hard when it comes to developing the technique to make all of the saves and challenges needed to be a top flight keeper and she has the drive and mental acuity needed to succeed.

[player_tooltip player_id='112293' first='Mia' last='Haness'], Central Defender, Eagles SC, Class of 2026

If you want to see a player with extreme work ethic who pushes themselves hard to become a better player, look no further than Haness. The Oaks Christian and Eagles SC center back puts the time in to improve, and has grown in many areas. She is a much better passer out of the back, and her hard work has led her to become a student of the game where she reads the game very well, and anticipates excellently. She steps into passing lanes and cuts off attacks as well as anyone. Haness is a very good tackler and makes excellent challenges because she makes quick decisions. She is good with the ball at her feet and loves to help build the attack from the back. She is also quick and reactive so she can help counter quickly as well. She makes very well-timed runs out of the back. She is also getting so much better with her speed of play, playing in tight spaces and you can see her decision making improve, especially when pressured.

She loves to break up plays and disrupt attacks, and can do so by consistently winning balls in the air. As a No. 6, she is an important pivot player because she can make a quick turn and distribute the ball and is especially accurate with balls over the top to the wide forwards. Werdel has a strong shot when she does push up and has a chance to show it off, and she is growing more and more confident with her abilities, including her attacking prowess.
