ECNL Regional League Finals: Texas Teams – Albion Hurricanes 07

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After long and competitive nine months of action, the ECNL Regional League season is coming to an end and only the best eight teams in each age group will get to appear in the National Finals, which will take place in Richmond, Virginia, from July 11-14.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some club teams from Texas earned a spot among those and will be competing for the national title in just a few days. As we prepare for the highest point of the club season, we'll feature some of these sides ahead of the start of the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Albion Hurricanes 07</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The side from Houston finished fourth in the Texas Conference with a campaign of eight wins, one loss and five ties - they had the second-best defensive system in the division, with just ten goals conceded. Her technical skills are evident every time she makes a move for the ball and her production is always remarkable. Besides being capable of making difficult stops, Robinett is also very consistent and reliable, giving Albion a lot of stability. She typically plays as a right-side center back for them and is very efficient with her actions in the middle of the team's backline. Everson thrives with her positioning and is always in good spots to win aerial duels and intercept long passes, but is also mobile and intelligent enough to defend with efficiency when she's dragged away from the penalty box. Because she's a lethal finisher and is very calm in front of the goal, she's often used in the striker role, where she delivers excellent production. Lara is probably at her best a little further away from the goal, though, where she can make the most of her intelligent movement to get on the ball in dangerous spots.
