Gipson is one of the defensive anchors who helped Solar go unharmed through four matches in the playoffs. She's physical enough to win duels and consistently makes good decisions on the backline. She's also mobile enough to chase attackers away from the penalty box and that is reflected in her positioning, which is higher up in the field than the most traditional center backs. Gipson's movement on the field and positioning also allow her to play a little further up in midfield if needed.

Bain typically plays on the right for Solar and her high-energy game makes a very positive impact on the team. She likes to attack the space on the wing and is very aggressive with or without the ball. Because she's tall and physical, Bain is very good at using her body to win space, getting on the end of long passes or throw-ins and shielding the ball from defenders. The midfielder also plays with a lot of energy off the ball, putting pressure on opposing defenders and forcing them to make errors.

Brundage is among the main offensive weapons of Solar, contributing to their attacking efforts with goals and assists. Very skilled and intelligent on the ball, she can play different roles for the team, helping them create and finish chances. When working as more of a playmaker, Brundage uses her ability to dribble in tight spaces and her vision to create chances from deeper areas of the field. When used closer to the goal, her pace and excellent runs behind the backline pose constant threats to opposing backlines.
