The San Francisco Elite SC girls U19 team is composed of players who have got to where they are through hard work and dedication. They are tough, tenacious and show the ability to play multiple positions and multiple roles. Here are five girls that embody that.

Anna Lou Delepine, Central Defender/Midfielder

Delepine is a standout player for Drew High and was a first-team all-BCL Central player there as a midfielder, and is a standout player at center back for San Francisco Elite SC. She is really good about maneuvering out of tight spaces, and she hits a really nice long ball as well when playing in the back.

Alana Giomi, Defender

Giomi is a quality defender who can play in all four spots, but is primarily a central defender for SF Elite. She was the lone all-WCAL player for Sacred Heart Cathedral. Giomi is not only versatile, but is dynamic in that she covers a lot of ground and that's because she works hard. She gives everything she has on the pitch and shows up to play.

Zoe Ivatt, Outside Defender/Midfielder

Ivatt is an outside back for SF Elite, but at Lowell High in San Francisco, she plays as both an outside back that cuts in and as a midfielder. She is a hard-working, smart player who understands her role, understands how to keep shape when she inverts and allows herself to be a threat by being in the right place at the right time.

[player_tooltip player_id='148159' first='Naomi' last='Mendez'], Forward/Outside Defender

Another player from Lowell High, Mendez plays wide and plays as a forward or as an overlapping outside back who shows tremendous shut down defensive skills. She is a strong player, she is left-footed so she is dangerous as a No. 11 or a No. 5. She was the forward of the year for all Division I schools in San Francisco.

Maya Riggs, Defender

Riggs plays at The Academy in San Francisco and was the City's Division II defensive MVP. She is tenacious, as she is a thorn in the side of attackers all day and she works hard for an entire shift. She is the kind of player that does not show any sort of negative emotions on the pitch as she seems to always be enjoying herself.
