ECNL Girls Texas Conference U19: Three Outside Backs to Watch

We start our coverage featuring some players to watch in the upcoming season. Her quality on the ball allows her to play as a winger and makes of her a very offensive-minded outside back, who strongly contributes to the team's attacking efforts. Delgado is very difficult to stop because she has the pace and dribbling skills to take the ball to the end line and send dangerous crosses into the penalty box, but can also bring it inside and finish from distance with power and precision. She's very smooth on the ball and makes intelligent decisions when in possession. Quiroz is also a reliable defender, who's strong in 1v1 situations and is very smart when coming inside the penalty box to help support the center backs, often making critical stops. She plays defense with a lot of determination and is never afraid of throwing her body at opponents to win the ball and make stops. Hewitt also offers a lot offensively, breaking pressure with smart moves and engaging in combination plays to progress the ball on the field.
