The Eagles SC 2009 girls ECNL team is off to a fantastic start. With four wins in four matches, they are level in points per game with Arizona Arsenal in the Southwest Division, sitting atop the table. They have outscored opponents 12-4 in the four matches so far. Here are seven players helping make that happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='147209' first='Olivia' last='Barajas'], Forward

Barajas is about as well-rounded of a forward you will find for a 2009. She can score in such a variety of ways. She can crash the box and score with her head, she can loosen up the defense and score from range and she can play with her back to the goal, receive the ball and turn, getting a shot off quickly and accurately. She has great foot skills, speed and creativity.

[player_tooltip player_id='147206' first='Joyce' last='Hanley'], Outside Defender

A right-footed outside defender, Hanley has good speed and athleticism. She can do it all, as she can get up and down the pitch, deliver a ball up the line with accuracy, or play the ball across the pitch. She can cut in and use both feet, she can create or go for goal. She is an agile, quick-footed player.

[player_tooltip player_id='147208' first='Maddie' last='Linville'], Forward

Linville is a player that finds a way to make an impact on the outside. She isn't just a wide forward that sits in the final third as she will show effort, track back and be a disruptive force. She really likes to get up the pitch in transition, showing great pace and an advanced ability to read the defense. She's creative in terms of making the pass that unlocks the defense, or she can take on a defender 1v1 and create for herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='147207' first='Lana' last='Lucas'], Attacking Midfielder

Lucas is a special enough talent to be able to show off all of her skills at once. All in one build up, she can receive the ball well by finding the right space to occupy, then she can make a defender miss, opening up acres of space to attack. With the advantage going forward, she can then play a clever ball to teammate making a run into the area. She plays such pretty, precise and perfectly weighted balls. The way she turns a defender is also next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='147210' first='Andrea' last='Maya'], Central Defender

Maya is a very advanced center back. She sees the game develop in front of her and reads it well, showing great anticipation. In addition to reading and reacting well and knowing what to do defensively, she also possesses the ball comfortably and makes good decisions when on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='147362' first='Luchiana' last='Shattuck'], Attacking Midfielder

Shattuck is a player that likes to push forward and get involved. She has good speed and plays with great energy. A technical No. 10 with good foot and ball skills, she can beat defenders off the dribble or with a well-placed ball. She works hard and gives full effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='147361' first='Presley' last='Shattuck'], Central Midfielder

Shattuck displays great fitness as she can put in a full shift and work hard the entire match. She's athletic and fluid, and she covers a lot of ground up and down the pitch and side to side. She shows good technical skills, good agility and quickness as well as an advanced understanding of the game.
