ECNL Girls Texas Conference U17: Three Goalkeepers to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The highly competitive ECNL club league kicked off its 2024-2025 season on the weekend of August 24-25, with the first Conference matches taking place around the country and setting the floor for what's going to be ten intense months of soccer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas Conference has been one of the strongest in the league in the last few years and will continue to be this season as some of the most talented players in the nation represent clubs from the region. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Soccer Texas will be following the action weekly and providing coverage in text, photo and social media posts, giving the talented prospects from the Lone Star State some well-deserved recognition and exposure. We start our coverage featuring some players to watch in the upcoming season. She's one of the best in Texas and has all the attributes to develop into a top name in the position in the country. Tetmeyer is long and extremely athletic and it feels like there's not a single shot she can't handle between the posts. Another impressive aspect of her game is her unwavering calm attitude in goal, which helps explain how effective she can be in key moments of matches. She has a very peculiar style between the posts, playing with a lot of energy and going with all she has for every single ball. Raisey is a goalkeeper who often surprises people with her ability to make nearly impossible saves thanks to her incredible reflexes and athleticism and that deservedly draws a lot of attention to her game. She has excellent command of the penalty box and is always very efficient and reliable when dealing with crosses, navigating the penalty box smartly and using her positioning to get in a nice spot to catch the ball. Her shot-stopping is also remarkable as she often makes saves look easy and very rarely gives up a rebound or a second-chance opportunity.
