Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A Matchday 11’s Best Players

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On the penultimate matchday of <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/soccer/24-25/conference/piedmont-athletic-1a-2a/?leagueid=e3d1403f-6815-4bc6-93cb-8e8ef66c36f9">this conference</a>, the leaders continued to demonstrate why they are where they are while a match of bottom half teams gave us an exhilarating result. <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/randleman/randleman-tigers/soccer/">Randleman High School</a> defeated <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/franklinville/providence-grove-patriots/soccer/">Providence Grove High School</a> 6-0 at home. <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/asheboro/southwestern-randolph-cougars/soccer/">Southwestern Randolph High School</a> visited <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/trinity/wheatmore-warriors/soccer/">Wheatmore High School</a> and came out on top 9-0 again. <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/asheboro/uwharrie-charter-eagles/soccer/">Uwharrie Charter</a> got just their second win of the season away at <a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/ramseur/eastern-randolph-wildcats/soccer/">Eastern Randolph High School</a> in a fantastic 5-4 final score. The left-winger constantly tries to lead his team forward, whether it is with the ball or off of it. When his team is in possession, he helps widen the play by asking for the ball out on the wing. If his team isn't in possession though, he'll drop back to help win it back. With Uwharrie's poor build-up, he also tasks himself with starting the plays out from deep. When his team is on the same level as their opponents, he shines. The commanding midfielder leader doesn't let counterattacks thrive if his team loses possession. Very rarely will you see him get beat, whether it be in tight or large spaces. His pace is a very welcome attribute when it comes to tracking back. His defensive presence out wide either leads to regaining possession or forces the opposing team to the other wing. His offensive qualities shine more and more each week though. Driving the ball forward constantly on the left is extremely beneficial to SWRHS. The stats do not back up the talent that he has. The wide midfielder loves to take the ball to the defenders, often getting the best of them. When his team is on the ball, he finds spaces to run into with ease though he doesn't always receive it. He drags defenders to him to create yards of space for his wingers, which leads to constant danger. On the ball, he has a wiseness that very few young players have. He seemingly predicts what the defenders will do and always acts accordingly.
