Week 2 Charlotte Metro Preseason Best Performers

Week 2 in the Charlotte metro area preseason gave us more talented players to look at. Certain teams and players are looking to be standouts among the rest. However, in this article, I've gone with five new players who impressed alongside those mentioned last week.    Brady is a unique talent as a winger who makes his presence felt all match long. Strong wingers aren't usual in the sport, but they're special when they do come around. He fits the special mold, holding players off fantastically. On the ball, he shields it excellently when under pressure. Off the ball, he'll go in strongly and cleanly to win it back. Regardless of how far back he needs to drop, he'll always look to lock down his flank. His dribbling and vision are noteworthy, too. He loves being direct, finding spaces to run through. When he takes advantage of these spaces, he finds himself in great positions to assist his teammates.     Jonah is a very promising prospect as a center back, who can also play in midfield when needed. Aggressive and intelligent, he knows how to win the ball back in any situation presented to him. His timing in tackles is remarkable, especially given his age. He isn't rash at all, with even his more aggressive tackles still being smooth. When he recovers the ball, he always looks to calmly build up rather than clearing the ball senselessly. He's able to do this with either foot, too, making him a crucial tool in playing out. When he's in the box, he also has a knack for finding the target. With a couple of goals to his name, he proves to be helpful offensively and defensively.     Ethan is a remarkable talent as a striker who has clear potential to make it big. Tall and determined, his presence in the box strikes fear into the opposition. One of his most impressive attributes is his jumping. The timing of his jumps to beat both the defenders and the keepers is a sight to watch. Leaping in between them effortlessly, he wins headers that most players wouldn't dare attempt. The weight and direction of his headers are just as phenomenal, finding the back of the net as if they were shots. His regular finishing is great too, not feeling the pressure of the occasion at all. Outside the box, his associative play is of great relief for his team when they need to move the ball in the final third.     Yousif is hands down one of the most talented midfielders I've seen so far. A center midfielder who clearly gets his inspiration from greats like Iniesta or Busquets, he works magic smoothly with the ball at his feet. Nimble and agile, he gets out of tough situations with remarkable ease. A simple drop of the shoulder or body feint clears multiple players out of his way at once. He's always aware of his surroundings as well. This awareness not only allows him to stay far from markers but also allows him to pick out beautiful passes. With precise weight and accuracy, he finds his attackers in perfect positions. Just as he controls the ball smoothly, he also wins it back the same way. He recovers the ball in a magnetic fashion, making him a headache for the opposition.     Garrett is a talented attacking midfielder who hits his stride in the final third. Direct and determined, he'll make sure the ball makes it into a dangerous zone. His physicality allows him to drive through defenders easily. It also allows him to win the ball back high up the pitch. In the box, he's a constant threat. If he's not taking shots, he's drawing fouls. His presence is a true nuisance for the opposing defense, especially given how relentless he is. Another welcome attribute is his skill. He doesn't use them often, but he does do so when the play calls for it, and he does so wonderfully.
