Week 1 Charlotte Metro Preseason Best Performers

The Charlotte Metro area is the next one to look at for the first week of preseason. The metro area with the most amount of players to choose from, the talent is very easy to come by. It is also the area with the highest concentration of the highest-ranked schools across the state, as well as being home to an MLS side. Undoubtedly, the most talented metro area in all of North Carolina, and as the season goes on, making only one article per week seems unfair. However, for this week, the following players were the best amongst the best.    Aldahir is a phenomenal talent as a midfielder who makes magic happen at his feet. His flair is difficult to defend, making him unmarkable. Evading defenders comes to him easily, making it seem like they're not even there. His vision is fantastic as well, knowing exactly where to play passes. This becomes more useful thanks to the very direct nature in which his team attacks. His reactions allow for the team to move up the pitch just as quickly as they need and want to. When it comes to set-pieces, and free kicks in particular, he is in a class of his own. Free kicks are difficult even for the professionals, but he makes it look easy and stunning. He can score a top corner free kick from well over 30 yards out, and it's obvious they aren't flukes.     Pedro is an electric left-wing talent who terrorizes the opposing right back all match long. Agile and fast, he makes one-on-one situations with the right back look simple. He finds the weak spot constantly and breezes past with ease. If he is in a position where he needs to act quickly, he'll still get past. If he needs to create a weak spot for him to exploit, he will. He is not afraid of taking the ball to the defender, showing how confident he is on the ball. When he gets near the goal, he always looks to play the final ball. Whether he plays a driven ball or lifts a cross, he keeps his goal of finding a teammate in prime shooting position.     Aayush is a natural attacking midfield talent who can play as a wide midfielder/winger on the left. Intelligent and agile, he knows exactly where to go to receive the ball to create danger either through passes or dribbles. He doesn't fear the ball one bit, always looking for a way to meaningfully participate in the play. His quick, short passes allow his team to move swiftly up the pitch, while his ability to give pause allows his team to make runs to receive his passes. He's got the ability to play soft, yet precise, lofted balls behind the defense just as he can ping passes across the field. Not only is he a phenomenal passer, but he also has an eye for goal. He loves to take a shot when it makes sense, and they always carry danger.     Sammy is a skillful left winger with bags of potential. Tactically, he understands his role perfectly. When a play asks for more central play, he will move centrally, whether he's on the ball or not. If a play asks for wide play, he will do the same. In either case, he is comfortable and doesn't favor one over the other. On the ball, he is a fantastic dribbler. With his skill and determination, he leaves defenders behind him constantly. He doesn't just skill for the sake of it, either, since he always does them when they're a necessity. When he's near the goal, he always looks for the play to finish there. Regardless of whether it's a goal or not, he either shoots or passes so that the team can get a chance once they've gotten in the final third.     Bryan is a very exciting prospect who plays primarily as a right winger but can play anywhere across the attack. A skillful dribbler, if he isn't getting past multiple defenders, it means he isn't on the ball. The way he weaves past the opposition's defense is mesmerizing, leaving them looking like statues as he runs through on goal. His ambidexterity makes him even more unpredictable, turning anyone who marks him inside out. When he's in the box, he only has sight for goal, which he finds easily. He isn't selfish, though, especially when he's further back. He'll open up space and lay off the ball to a teammate who exploits it.
