ECNL Girls Phoenix: Texas Goalkeepers to Watch

A state champion as a freshman with Prosper, she's a new face with the team, having joined from FC Dallas this season. Juvera has a long frame and that helps her get to shots targeting the upper corner and to handle crosses with great efficiency. The goalkeeper is also very agile when she need to get to the ground and very rarely gives up rebounds on her saves. She's a goalkeeper on the rise in Texas, having recently delivered strong performances and shown she can perform under pressure. Allen is an excellent shot-stopper, with the reflexes and athleticism needed to make stops in short-distance shots. Opponents who don't know her may be fooled by the fact that she's not super tall and apparently not as physical as some of her counterparts, but Cervantes leaves nothing to be desired to any keeper in the country with her tremendously technical game. She's very explosive in getting to the ball and does an excellent job of controlling the penalty box and getting first to crosses and passes in behind the backline. She's a technical and explosive goalkeeper, who impresses with her ability to make big saves between the posts. Magaha is also very consistent and reliable and very rarely makes a mistake between the posts. One of the best goalkeepers in her class in Texas, she recently returned to action after nine months sidelined due to an ACL surgery and is slowly getting back to her usual form. Huber has incredible reflexes between the posts and has great hands, rarely giving up rebounds.
