Cervantes is the top-ranked goalkeeper in our Rankings and appears in 12th place overall. She plays high school soccer for Grand Prairie and recently joined FC Dallas ‘ U19 team in the ECNL League after many years with Solar SC. Cervantes’ impeccable technique between the posts is what makes of her the top goalkeeper in Texas in her class. She simply doesn’t make mistakes in goal and is as reliable as it gets with her decision-making and execution when it comes to stopping shots. Despite not being very tall, she has excellent control of the penalty box and is very effective at dealing with crosses. Another of Cervantes’ strengths is her skilled left foot, which makes her very comfortable on the ball and allows her to connect accurate long passes out of the back.

Cervantes is headed to Upstate University. A program trending in the right direction and this commitment is a great example of that. This move shows the young Goalkeeper’s intent to play on day 1 of stepping on campus and I think she will. I think given Cervantes’ resume she must have had bigger names after her services.

One of the top goalkeepers in Texas, Cervantes is the starter of the Solar SC 08 team that’s scheduled to meet Slammers FC HB Koge, Legends FC and So Cal Blues in Phoenix. Opponents who don’t know her may be fooled by the fact that she’s not super tall and apparently not as physical as some of her counterparts, but Cervantes leaves nothing to be desired to any keeper in the country with her tremendously technical game. She’s very explosive in getting to the ball and does an excellent job of controlling the penalty box and getting first to crosses and passes in behind the backline. She’s one of the best goalkeepers in the country in possession and can hit some impressive passes with her left foot.

With Cervantes in goal, Solar SC 08 took first place in the Texas Conference and qualified for the Champions League playoffs. After spending some time as the backup to Evan O’Steen Evan O’Steen 5'10" | GK/F None | 2025 #3 Nation TX , she took the starting role when her teammate was moved to play up and kept the same level of efficiency for the team between the posts. Cervantes has great control of the penalty box and never hesitates when she has to leave the goal to catch crosses or passes in behind the backline, always finding the best routes to the ball. She also has very solid hands, which rarely give up rebounds, and can hit short and long passes with impressive precision with her skilled left foot.
