When you notice 5 or more kids in the transfer portal from the same school it makes you wonder what's going on there. It's obvious to see that many collegiate coaches have been around for a long time, the job security tends to be very secure. I was sitting on a plane with a Power 4 Head Coach and he told he had been offered much bigger roles. I asked why not pursue any of them? Occupational safety was the primary reason. And he's 100 percent correct. Besides the pressure a great coach puts on themselves to win, the pressure to win from higher ups does not really exist in college soccer the way it exists elsewhere.

I have news for everyone, college soccer is a form of professional soccer. This whole concept of amateurism is outdated. Some players get paid, some players don't, and there are levels of professionalism throughout the NCAA Soccer landscape. There needs to be more pressure on coaches to win at programs to get the best product. Athletic Directors really should have a look at who is at the helm of their soccer programs if your teams are losing and/or have 5+ players in the transfer portal. Something isn't right and needs to be investigated.

Here are some more female players that are worth a look in this years transfer portal:

Liana Bryant- From Jerry Rice University this striker has had a stellar collegiate career thus far. This season she has scored 9 goals in 14 appearances (12 starts). A very productive player probably looking at an upgrade in the portal. She has two more years left of eligibility and will be looking to build on her success she had this season.

Senah Hanes- Green Bay's #10 had 17 appearances and 16 starts this season with 9 goals and an assist. These numbers suggest that she impressed some more successful programs. Schools like Green Bay are becoming feeder teams to the more established successful schools. This in turn means they have to get creative with recruiting to remain competitive.

Manon Lebargy- From Lille, France this talented midfielder from Middle Tennessee looks to be headed to a Power 4 or outlying mid-major programs next season. She only has 1 more year left of eligibility but has been very productive in her 3 seasons at MTSU. With 59 games (39 starts) under her belt and 23goals/9assists for production Lebargy will have a ton of value to a program who needs a quick fix in midfield.

Marissa Gross- Anyone in the portal with international experience is always noteworthy. From the small school of University of Northern Arizona Gross has played for the Panama U20's. The attacking midfielder played in all of UNI's games this season (19) and has logged 3 goals and 3 assists. We'll see if she makes a step up, backwards or sideways in the portal.

Chloe Bagshaw- Bagshaw started her career at the very famous Fulham in England. Her Division I career started very strong with 19 starts in year 1 and 14 starts in year 2. Unfortunately in year 3 she only logged 5 starts. With one more year remaining it's a do or die season for this shot-stopper.
