Jordan

The Jordan Warriors from Fulshear sneaked into the playoffs last season after finishing fourth in District 19, but managed to win a pair of postseason matches before falling to eventual champions Seven Lakes in a PK shootout in the Regional Quarterfinals to complete their campaign with a 13-8-4 record. Among their graduated players are goalkeeper Elijah Betancourt, defenders Dylan Hout, Owen Rogers and Chris Segura, midfielder Ryan Armijo and forward Leander Yang. Senior goalkeeper Nolan Gentry, junior defender Braden Bucic, senior defender Noah Rogerson, senior midfielder Marcelo Ojeda, senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='15750' first='Aiden' last='Erol'] and sophomore forward Francisco Acosta should all have prominent roles with the Warriors this season.

Jordan's midfield maestro, Ojeda is a key piece for the Warriors, coordinating and executing most of their offensive plays. He plays as an attacking midfielder, but circulates all over the field looking for the ball and typically makes a difference when in possession. Because of his diverse skill set, Ojeda can hurt opposing defenses in a variety of ways, being very difficult to stop. He's very good at dribbling the ball with his ability to make moves in tight spaces, but probably even more dangerous when he engages in combination plays through the middle. The midfielder is also an excellent finisher, being capable of scoring from inside and outside the penalty box or in set pieces.

The Warriors' number nine, Erol is a nightmare to opposing defenders because of his quality on the ball and his work rate. He's great with his off-the-ball movement and has a knack for finding spaces in the backline to explore, but doesn't shy away from physical duels and does a solid job with his back to the goal. Erol can also be used a little bit deeper, as a second forward or even an attacking midfielder, thanks to his ability to combine with his teammates and push the ball forward through the middle. An excellent finisher and header, he also brings value with his ability to put pressure on opposing defenders and force them to make errors.

Jordan's starting left back, Rogerson is an important two-way weapon for his team. A physical player, he's very solid defensively, using his size to clear long passes and win duels. Rogerson also reads the game very well and is always looking for an opportunity to intercept passes in his zone. The outside back also contributes offensively, getting to the final third with quickness and sending accurate crosses into the penalty box. He likes to attack the penalty box to finish chances, but can also score or create chances with long-distance shots.
