First MLS event of the new season and the build up has been palpable. Young players from around the country will convene in Indio, CA to have the opportunity to compete and grab the attention of coaches, scouts, social media outlets and beyond from across the American soccer landscape. It's an exciting time for a young player and their parents. I wish everyone good luck. Here are 5 players to be on the lookout for in Indio. His athleticism and finishing makes him a huge problem for opposing defenders. Big names are already after this kid. He's well worth a watch! His SF Glen's side have the ability to qualify for GA Cup this weekend and they're going to need him firing on all cylinders to achieve that. Tier 1 talent with pro potential. A disappointing playoffs and injury has kept him sidelined for the better part of this season. He is well known over there, but here he is still a bit of a mystery. His Ballistic team has been very up and down this season. He's a high energy defensive midfielder that is great in possession. He has been getting great reviews for his performances in various international tournaments and is definitely worth watching.   Cody Ross- Extremely talented keeper that keeps his Ballistic team in games. He gets a lot of volume so anyone who is going to be watching him is guaranteed to get a great show between the pipes from Ross.
