ECNL North Atlantic Conference Overview: Maryland United G09

Maryland United G09 showcase to be a team that do well to keep their shape in and out of possession. They have moments as a team of reacting but recover well. They high press their opponents from goal kicks and do well to keep them in their own half. From their own goal kicks, they do a good job of playing out from the back. Maryland United G09 show that they do well to make it to the attacking third after connecting a few passes. As a team, they do well to recover when they lose possession and are quick to react. In possession, they often times attack from their wide options. They have good ideas in the attacking third. Their midfielders do well to connect with each other before going forward. Overall, Maryland United G09 have moments of reacting but have good ideas in the attacking half.    Amelia Orso plays as a midfielder for Maryland United G09. As an attacking midfielder, she looks to switch the ball often and connect with other attacking players. She breaks lines well and can play a teammate into open spaces. Defensively, Orso cuts passes well and gives her opponent no time on the ball. She is a player that has good vision and awareness on and off the ball. She has a good touch and body shape when receiving a pass.   Orso communicates off the ball and has a strong left foot. She isn't shy to take a chance on goal and does well to create chances for her team. Overall, Amelia Orso is a strong player who makes a difference when she's on the pitch.     Tatum Boyd plays as a forward for Maryland United G09. She shows that she likes to connect with the midfielders when her back is to goal. She does well to get into go areas and does take players on one v one. Defensively, Boyd does well to give no time to her opponents. She is a hard working player who has a strong right foot.   Boyd showcased that she will continue to go at defenders any chance she gets. Overall, Tatum Boyd is an attacking minded player who can connect well with her teammates and doesn't shy away from her defensive responsibilities.     Gabriella Smith is a player that can perform in multiple positions for Maryland United G09. She uses her body well and can play the simple pass to keep possession for her team. She tracks her opponents well and is strong into tackles. Smith does a great job of winning the ball back and immediately wanting to keep possession by connecting with a teammate.   Regardless of her role for the day, she does a great job of getting up the field to support and back to manage defensive responsibilities. With the ball, Smith showcased that she has good foot skills and can cross the ball well. Overall, Gabriella Smith is a hardworking player who doesn't shy away from what her role is.     Michaela Bell plays as a midfielder and forward for Maryland United G09. She is a player that makes good decisions on the ball and does well in one v one situations. She can play multiple roles for Maryland United and play simple passes in moments when it's needed. Bell tracks her mark well and stays connected often. She uses her body well and showcased she is comfortable with a player on her back. Overall, Michaela Bell is a strong individual who can work well under pressure.     Ella McLaughlin plays as a defender for Maryland United G09. She is a defensively strong player who recovers for her teammates well. McLaughlin showcased she can and will support teammates around her. She is strong into tackles and stays connected well with the back line. McLaughlin looks to connect her passes and does well under pressure. She does a good job of winning the ball back and picking her head up to find a teammates feet when possible. Overall, Ella McLaughlin is an important player for Maryland United who handles her defensive responsibilities well.
