New talent to know from Texas 2011 age group

US Soccer held a Talent ID event in Dallas last week for the 2009, 2010, and 2011 age groups. The 2011 age group looks like a top class from Texas. A few of these players will be competing for a national championship with their club teams this summer while a number of others are playing up age groups.   Check out a few of the noteworthy new names from the group called into the US Soccer Talent ID Center in Dallas, Texas on February 5, 2025.    Bledsoe is listed with the 2011s because that's her birth year but she has been playing up an age group or two in the ECNL for the past few seasons. Bledsoe is a star even when playing up an age group. She is a skillful player who can pop up in the attacking midfield role or forward role. She scored a wonder goal last year in the playoffs when playing up top. She went 1v1 against a center back, pulled off a silky right foot cross body drag, and then buried a shot into the upper corner of the goal with her left. Bledsoe continues to impress as one of the top talents in the country in the 2029 class.     Luther is a forward/midfielder from the [program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last=''] 2011 ECNL RL squad. She is a talented dribbler who plays with utmost confidence. She is at her best when she gets into 1v1 situations with the ball at her feet. She's a good finisher - and can finish in a variety of ways. She's right footed, but good on her left too. Luther's quality shines with her off ball movement. She's a smart player. She finds space with subtle movements and capitalizes on those chances efficiently. There is is lot to like about Luther's potential and her recent play in the ECNL RL.     Gautam is a midfielder on the Sting Black 2011 ECNL team. She plays as a defensive midfielder for her club team. She looked like the best player on the field during most of the ECNL games this season. She's right footed, strong on the ball, and a smart player. She reads the game well and regularly wins the duels in the center of the field. She's has excellent ball striking technique, which shows up in long passes as well as shots from outside of the box. She takes the corners kicks for her side thanks to that accurate delivery. Gautam is a top talent from the 2029 class in Texas.     Hutchinson is a target forward on the Sting Black 2011 ECNL team. She's a skillful No. 9 with a knack for creating enough space to get off the shot. Hutchinson is often playing 1v2 or more as the target forward and she wins her battles. She keeps close control of the ball and does well pinning defenders on her hip when turning toward goal. The potential is endless for Hutchinson as she has the physical frame, skill, and shooting technique to be a star in the No. 9 role for a long time.     Stock is an outside back on the Sting Black 2011 ECNL team. She plays left back on her club team. She immediately stood out from game film for her passing and 1v1 quality in defending. Stock's passing is the highlight of her player profile. She's got excellent vision and finds creative ways to break pressure. She is a strong 1v1 defender, good in the tackle, and always in the right position.     Rodriguez is listed as a forward/midfielder on her player profile, but she played right center back for Solar during the ECNL playoffs. She is an exceptional center back. She does well at breaking the pressure with her ability on the ball. She progresses past the first line of pressure and puts the opposition off-balance with her charging runs with the ball at her feet. She's a fluid athlete and easy runner who is light on her feet and can take on any forward for pace. Rodriguez has the tools to be a top center back in the country.     Webb is a goalkeeper on the Solar 2011 ECNL team. She is an excellent shot-stopper. An athletic goalkeeper with good diving technique, she has a full range of tools to stop any shot. She's fearless off her line and does well in reacting quickly to get her hands on the ball. Webb is a promising goalkeeper in this class. She has shown the ability to make game-deciding plays consistently.
