Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Bledsoe and her Sting Royal U16 team will have strong competition in Florida, having WNY Flash, Florida Krush and Portland Thorns as their opponents for the next three days. The forward is a new addition to their squad and immediately became a key piece in their offensive system, bringing unmatched quality on the ball and intensity. Bledose is a workhorse, moving everywhere in the final third and making excellent decisions every time she gets on the ball. A phenomenal dribbler who combines pace and creative moves, she creates chances for herself and her teammates at a high volume, and also does a great job of converting them with well-placed shots.

Bledsoe is a winger/attacking midfielder with FC Dallas who was placed seventh in our Rankings. A dynamic and highly skilled offensive player, she was with their 15s team in the last ECNL season and was one of the catalysts in their attack. Bledsoe typically plays on the left side and is very dangerous when on the ball because she’s excellent at beating opponents off the dribble, but also thrives at combining with her teammates and moving off the ball, making her game very unpredictable. Another player who has been in US Soccer ID camps, she has an extremely high work rate on the field and is a productive goalscorer, using both her quality when finishing from distance and her ability to pop in great spots inside the penalty box to get the ball into the back of the net.

Bledsoe was one of the catalysts of FC Dallas 10G ECNL’s 6-0 victory over DKSC ‘ last=”] 10G ECNL RL. Playing on the left side of the team’s attack, she was dangerous every time she got on the ball, combining with teammates to make plays of bringing the ball inside to finish or deliver dangerous passes into the penalty box. Bledsoe scored Dallas’ second goal in the match by coming from the left to the right side of the box and firing a powerful shot into the upper corner. She was basically unstoppable in 1v1 plays and displayed impressive mental quickness, making great decisions when on the ball, even when under pressure.

Bledsoe is a forward/midfielder for FC Dallas . She can play in either role. She’s listed as a forward on this roster, which might reveal how US Soccer scouts view her potential role at the international level. Bledsoe plays up an age group at the club level, for one of the best teams in the country. She has the technical ability to shine even when playing up an age group – and the competitive drive to lead that team in the attack. The aspect of her game that can be overlooked is how often the ball just seems to find her feet. The movement off the ball and the anticipation (combined with her focus) leads to getting into the spots to finish off chances. Bledsoe recently played with her own age group at an ECNL event and shined. It should be a similar result at the regional mini-camp as she is one of the most talented players in this age group in the country.

Bledsoe is listed with the 2011s because that’s her birth year but she has been playing up an age group or two in the ECNL for the past few seasons. Bledsoe is a star even when playing up an age group. She is a skillful player who can pop up in the attacking midfield role or forward role. She scored a wonder goal last year in the playoffs when playing up top. She went 1v1 against a center back, pulled off a silky right foot cross body drag, and then buried a shot into the upper corner of the goal with her left. Bledsoe continues to impress as one of the top talents in the country in the 2029 class.

Bledsoe is listed as a forward on her player profile, but I believe I only saw her play as an attacking midfielder from ECNL game film. She is the most obvious talent in the Texas Conference in her age group. A brilliant player who can decide a game at any moment, Bledsoe is playing two age groups up and still shines bright. It’s going to be a long time before she’s really in the spotlight for scouts, but she will be on the Youth National Team in the near future. Clean on the ball, quick with her decisions, and skillful and creative, Bledsoe has all the characteristics to be a top attacking talent in her birth year.
