He is a half turn wizard. He can use all surfaces of his foot to turn on the ball when receiving a passes from all angles. He beats the press really well on the dribble and with his passes. His team lost both games this weekend against Sac Republic and Santa Cruz Breakers but he was definitely his teams bright spot. He loves dropping deep to collect the ball from his center backs and picking out a long ball. He grabbed a nice assist in his teams win against the SF Glens. The defensive midfielder held the Breakers together defensively and made it difficult for opposing attackers. This kid can flat out ball ladies and gentlemen. The Earthquakes have an absolute diamond. Let's hope that the recent club turmoil and loss of coaches does not hinder this kid's development. He scored another hat-trick while playing up for the Quakes academy against SVSA. He gets hacked all game by opposing teams and it doesn't seem to bother him one bit. He has great technique and flies around the field. He was up and down the right flank for SVSA and delivered some great crosses. A very fluid mover through space. Liu is a really effective playmaker in midfield. He controlled this game when he was on the ball. Finding gaps and making well timed/weighted passes forward to his teammates. Scoring two fantastic goals against the Earthquakes is priceless for a kid from this region. His first goal was a well placed free kick. And his second was an amazing shot from outside the box. He was rewarded for his good efforts with a good goal to help secure his Silicon Valley Soccer Club's 2009 side a 3-2 win. A monster result for this team with MLSNext Playoff implications on the line. If Rivera can keep up his good play it puts his team in a great spot moving forward heading into MLSFlex and Playoffs in the coming months. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
