4A Week 1's Best Players

Matchday 1 in the 4A category follows the pattern that <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2025/03/2a-week-1s-best-players/">2A</a> and <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2025/03/3a-week-1s-best-players/">3A</a> have in that not every team has debuted yet. As was noted in a previous article, this category has the largest student bodies. This means that there is more talent at the disposition of these teams. In turn, this also means that the talent on display is more bountiful. Choosing just a few talents from a very active opening day is tough, but these are the best.    Savannah plays as a midfielder who imposes herself in the channels. Her height allows for her to tower over the opposition, giving her the advantage in aerial plays. Not only does she use her height to impose herself in the air, but she also uses it to press the opposing defense intensely. Her team plays a very high line, which is possible thanks to how often she regains possession in the final third. In possession, she always looks to find a teammate in a goal-scoring position. If her team builds up play from deep, she also crashes the box effectively, getting goal-scoring chances for herself.     Savanna continues to showcase her brilliance, proving to be a constant headache for defenders. Playing on the shoulder of the defenders, she is constantly ready to make runs in behind to get into prime shooting position. On the ball, she causes danger by driving the ball forward past the defenders who try to mark her. Combining both her constant driving forward and her ability to find spaces makes her unstoppable. If she receives the ball in space but not in a shooting position, she always looks for a better-positioned teammate to finish the play.     Sophie is a talented winger who is very much attack-minded. Her most obvious attribute is her dribbling, constantly getting the better of any defender marking her. Whether she dribbles by cutting in or going down the line, she breezes past defenders with ease. These dribbles are also very fruitful for the team. When she cuts in, she seeks to play the ball to a player in open space. When she dribbles down the line, she reaches the touchline to then play a dangerous ball back into the box. Making these types of plays throughout the match makes her a chance-creating machine down the wing.     Emily is a versatile and attack-minded midfielder who presents a constant danger in the final third. Typically, she stays on the right, offering width to her team. However, it is not uncommon to see her move into spaces to receive the ball and advance or finish plays. Regardless of her position, she is always a threat to the opposition. Her long shots are great, and she attempts them often, too. Finishing closer to the box is no problem for her either, scoring close-up chances with ease. When she creates plays from out wide, she finds teammates perfectly so that they can get a shot off.     Elise is a talented and well-rounded striker who leads her team from the front. Her movements make her hard to defend and easy to find if you're her teammate. She constantly looks to beat defenders even before she receives the ball at her feet. If she hasn't beat them before she receives it, she'll beat them with it. Her high attacking work rate allows for her team to create chances all game long. With more chances created comes more scoring opportunities, which she capitalizes on perfectly. Her finishing is calm and collected, as well as very effective.
