Physical and aggressive, he is a menace for any opponent, making strong tackles and putting his body on the line; he is a rock when on the field. He regularly chips in with some goals, showcasing his deadly finishing ability. Whether firing powerful, bullet-like shots from long range or inside the box, or dominating aerial duels by leaping higher than anyone else to head the ball with both power and precision. Tidy and quick with the ball at his feet, he does well at keeping possession and calming the tempo of the game. Playing really any position in the midfield, he is always an option for the defense and offense, checking out or dropping deep. His good awareness and distribution also add to his teams overall play, providing great switches and playing in good balls for attackers to chase down. Playing more as a right winger, he does well in dropping deep to be an option for the defense and is always looking to take players. He is fantastic at creating goal-scoring opportunities and getting into dangerous positions; hugging the touchline and cutting in. Additionally, Gannon's speed and quick feet work make it very difficult for defenders to win the ball off him.
