2A Matchday 8’s Best Performers

Though some conferences did not finish their regular season after matchday 8, some others did. To keep the talent pool as even as possible, I used matchday 8 as the cutoff point. The list for this matchday gives us some returning talents as well as some new ones. The striker showed how she could lead her team to a win from the front. Her mentality when her team went 2-0 down was fantastic, never giving up at any moment. She didn't just stay up front, dropping back to link up with her midfielders to generate plays. If the play called for it, she'd play short passes to her midfielders or long passes out wide. Under pressure, she proves that penalties do not faze her. Though they can be better, the mental fortitude is clearly present. For this matchday, she finally got her long-deserved mention. Her main duty is defensive, being a stalwart in the heart of the park in favor of her team. Never backing out of duels, she has the bravery needed to play in such a crucial role. Offensively, she pushes forward wonderfully, helping her team have more numbers going forward. Her physical presence makes her be felt in either attack or defense, giving her an advantage against any opponent. In the box, she towers over the rest, proving to be a great target for crosses. A natural-born dribbler, she constantly looks to take the ball to defenders. Combined with her agility, she is an unstoppable player regardless of how many markers she has on her. When she's on the ball, she also knows when to pause and go, generating space for her to dribble or pass into. Constantly finding or creating spaces helps her and her team to move more fluidly in the final third. If she has to dribble in the box, she'll get rid of anyone going to defend her, including the goalkeeper. Taking control of her team in attack not only is no problem for her, but rather, she excels when she does so. Progressive thinking, she always looks to make the play finish as close to the goal as possible. Her dribbling is fantastic, skipping past players for fun. This is made all the more impressive considering that she dribbles in the channels. With the most amount of players that she has on here, most players would rather pass the ball backwards. Her eye for goal, regardless of where she's shooting from, is very welcome. Her quick passing, with both her midfielders and attackers, makes everybody more difficult to defend. Opposing teams can't defend her and her team's quick movements, which leads to how good her reaction time is. With quick passing must come quick thinking, which she excels at. The one-twos she plays showcase it to perfection, beating defenders before they can even think to defend. Her ability to provide fluidity in the final third makes her team unstoppable, with her as the leader.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
