If you're having trouble finding a hotel, navigating the busy I-5/I-405 corridors or struggling to get a reservation at a local restaurant, then you know it MUST be ECNL Playoff time in Seattle! The region will have thousands of players and coaches descending upon the Puget Sound area next week all with one purpose, to find out who is going to be National Champions! That coveted title holds bragging rights for the club, coaches and athletes who earned it for a lifetime! Along with players and coaches, college scouts from across the country will also be making their way to the PNW trying to find those future pieces to round out their collegiate programs.

All matches are being played at one of the largest soccer complexes in the country which is located on Seattle's Eastside in Redmond, WA. 60 Acres Park boasts 25 full size grass fields spread across the 94-acre complex. The ECNL will undoubtedly have the fields and complex decked out with all the bells and whistles that make the ECNL Playoffs the grand event it is meant to be. It will be the perfect one stop shop to see some of the most talented soccer athletes in the country.

Over 330 ECNL Boys teams will be in attendance in this year's ECNL National Playoffs. Of those 300+ teams, only a handful will make it to the ECNL National Finals in Richmond, VA in mid- July. The U13 (B12) through U17 (B08) teams will be vying for those spots and will be keeping their eyes on the prize while they battle through the group stages here in Seattle. The U18/U19 teams compete a bit differently. The oldest group utilizes a 32-team bracket (Think March Madness) that consists of the top teams from each ECNL conference across the country. They will battle in 'one and done' games throughout the week with a National Champion raising the trophy at weeks end.

The ECNL Playoffs are the most exciting part of the season, and we are about to see some of the best competition in the country! Here's a quick breakdown of teams to watch this week as well as some additional details about the playoffs.

U13 (B12) Champions League Group Play:

The youngest age group in the ECNL Playoffs consists of the top 48 teams from the 14 ECNL conferences. These teams are divided into in 12 groups (Group A thru Group L) of 4 teams, seeded 1-4 in their respective groups. These teams were seeded depending on how they finished in conference. The U13's have their fair share of talent. The XF Academy (24-0-0) has been dominant this year and will be the ones to beat. The 143 goals scored on the season has them doubling and, in some places, tripling what their opponents have scored on the year. Gretna Elite Academy (14-2-2) has been a defensive powerhouse in the Heartland Conference while only allowing 9 goals in 18 matches. Group F has some talented big-name clubs like Solar SC Academy (12-2-3) & VDA (14-4-2) but they will have to get by the potent offense of Santa Clara Sporting (23-1-2) if they are going to make it to Richmond.

U14 (B11) Champions League Group Play:

The top 64 U14 teams will battle in 16 groups (Group A thru P) made up of 4 seeded teams. Leading that charge is California Odyssey SC/COSC (24-0-1) with their 96 goals for and 2.92 PPG, they will be the Goliath of Group A. The #4 seed in Group C, Washington Premier (12-10-2), have the potential to embrace the David mentality and surprise some teams! They have no trouble scoring goals and play in a tough Northwest Conference, so teams better take note, the local club will not go down without a fight. The other local teams, XF Academy (21-1-2), [program_tooltip program_id='283324' first='Eastside' last='FC'] (19-5-0) and [program_tooltip program_id='283471' first='Seattle' last='United'] (21-1-2) sit in the Top 20 in the Champions League standings and plan on representing the PNW right. They have combined for an astonishing 360 goals this season and that number is only going to increase next week! Last season's U14 club, LAFC So Cal, were National Champions and they will be hoping to continue that tradition with this year's LAFC So Cal (14-7-3) team with some big wins in Group O.

U15 (B10) Champions League Group Play:

The Texas Conference is represented well in the U15 age bracket. They have 9 of the 64 total teams competing. The Albion Hurricanes (16-1-3) are the highest ranked team from Texas and will be bringing their 9-game unbeaten streak into Group D. No team in the country has less goals against (3) than Pipeline SC (15-0-2). They have a literal brick wall defense that is going to be trouble for even the best competition. Keep your eyes on the goal scoring prowess of Concorde Fire Platinum (17-1-4). They are bound to give defenses fits in Group H. The 73 goals scored in 22 matches is the most goals scored by any of the 64 Champion League qualifying teams.

U16 (B09) Champions League Group Play:

Once again, 64 teams will compete in 16 groups for the U16's. Between the Utah Avalanche (16-2-4) & NM Rapids (16-2-3), the Mountain Conference is represented well at the U16 level. These two Top 5 teams combined to score 134 goals this season and will be competing in Groups C and O respectively as the #1 seed. The Tennessee SC (11-2-5) squad is only one of two teams to qualify from the Mid-America Conference. They are known for close games and fighting until the final whistle. Tennessee SC and Group K will be fun to watch. World Class FC (18-1-1) holds the #1 seed in Group A. The 47 GD accompanied with their 1 loss, lets everyone know that they can beat you on both ends of the pitch. The U16 age group is where you are really going to start seeing that elite talent shine through.

U17 (B08) Champions League Group Play:

The common thread throughout the 2025 ECNL Boys season is that XF Academy is good, at ALL age groups. The U17's are no different. The XF Academy (24-1-0) U17's hold the #1 seed in Group A and with their 122 goals for and 14 against, they are the team everyone is penciling in for a National Championship run. However, there are 63 other teams that are also betting on their own title run. One of those teams is FC Wisconsin (16-2-2). They are looking forward to showcasing their stout, Midwest defense and putting it up against the best offenses in the country. Another team that will not back down from a challenge is Beach FC (17-5-8). Playing 30 matches in the Southwest Conference this season, gives them the experience and team unity needed to weather the elite competition that they are going to face in Group O. [program_tooltip program_id='283324' first='Eastside' last='FC'] (14-5-3) will be playing near their stomping grounds and would love nothing more than to put on a show for the hometown crowd. Look for Group B to feel the pressure from their top tier defense. Lastly, the Dallas Texans Academy (14-5-4) is a sneaky pick to win Group J. As the #2 seed and ranked 3rd in the Texas Conference, they may be tad overlooked but are ready to bounce back from some recent losses and put their name at the top of the group when the dust settles.

U18/U19 (B07/B06) Champions League Bracket:

The gem of the ECNL National Playoffs is always the U18/U19 (B07/06) Champions League competition which will crown a ECNL National Champion on July 1st here in Seattle! The #1 seed is Washington State's own XF Academy (20-1-1) who will be attempting to claim back-to-back U18 National Titles! XF Academy aren't the only elite teams in the bracket that will be looking to wear the crown. The #3 seed Florida Kraze (17-2-3) and the #2 seeded Eclipse Select SC (15-1-4-1) are strong contenders and will be ready to take on any opponents when the whistle blows on June 25th. Everyone loves a Cinderella story so watch out for the #20 seed, Pateadores (20-6-4). The 81 goals scored on the season put them in the mix to turn some heads on matchday. Look for some early upsets, some dominating performances and most of all, some very excitement matches with this year's U18/U19 group.

ECNL Boys Playoff Coverage:

Prep Soccer will be in person covering the 2025 ECNL Boys Playoffs with daily articles, social media posts and photos!
