The COPA ID DAY on July 23, 2025, didn't disappoint. The numerous scouts on hand range from top-level colleges to professional organizations, as well as scouts from the USYNT. This current feature highlights some of the notable players who gave their all and left an impression. For some, this may be their first time being evaluated, but they found a way to make themselves seen and hope to get calls from scouts or be invited to the next COPA event.

As of this moment, COPA has just sent out information on their next event scheduled for December 13th and 14th. Male and female age groups 2014-2013, 2012-2011, and 2010-2008 are invited to take their COPA score between August and November 30th, 2025. If it is anything like the event in July, the talent level should also rise, as the previous event was definitely top-notch. Looking forward to seeing what opportunities are in store for the Best XI, as the scouts may offer scholarships as well as recommendations to various pro clubs as well as USYNT coaches.

Such an exciting event will always bring in top-level talent and stir up hopes and dreams for players seeking to play college-level soccer and beyond.

Back to the article on the notable players from the previous COPA Talent ID Day on July 23, 2025. Most of these are up-and-coming players who should be on the radar, and some may have definitely turned some heads.

She played in the mid and showed a calm and collective presence. She made clean tackles and was not afraid in "bodying" her opponents to win 50/50 challenges. Her ability to scan the field got her into open pockets, where she made quick and precise passes and sending through balls in open lanes. She also helped her team by applying high pressure to cause defenders to make mistakes in the back.

Showed her speed up top. She can turn on the after burners and get by the defensive line when going 1v1 on the wings. Her ability to make cuts to the top of the 18 gives her a high percentage chance of scoring. She was fouled in the penalty area and was given a penalty kick. She motioned as if she was going right, but went the opposite direction once the goalkeeper committed. She also had other scoring opportunities, most which came off of a high press. Looking forward to seeing her improvements in the next ECNL season.

Has some speed running diagonal runs to the 18. Her ability to dribble pass multiple defenders in the attacking third makes her a scoring threat. She also made good combo passes, while finding open pockets. Her ability to calculate and time her runs presented her with a penalty kick. She waited for the goalkeeper to pick a side, before casually kicking it in for an easy goal.

Made some quick runs up and down the channels. She was good at winning 50/50 challenges. Some of her best plays came off of shielding and making quick cuts to win possession. She seems to scan well as she effortlessly kept control of the ball during 1v1's. Looking forward to see how much she will improve if she's invited back to the event in December.

Held her own for being one of the youngest player in this age bracket. She played as a mid and showed her ability as a box-to-box player. Her strengths was in applying high pressure up top to force defenders to make mistakes. Overall, good passing and calm under pressure in the attacking third.
