Film Review: Checking in on top performers from club playoffs

<p>The plethora of postseason events offered the opportunity for a new scouting look at talent all across the country. Below is a scouting report on some of the players who have already provided Prep Soccer with updated highlights from those recent events. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">It's easy to see why [player_tooltip player_id='110716' first='Mia' last='Berardi'] was one of the top targets in the 2027 class for college scouts. She just bossed the games in San Diego. She's a do-everything midfielder who is going to show up all over the field. She could play any position on the field but it does seem like she likes to have the game in front of her - think defensive midfielder or even outside back. She was playing at a step quicker than the opposition in most of Rockford's games. Quick-thinking, skill, and determination are the trademarks of Berardi's game. She has blistering pace. She is immediately on the attack as she never gives the outside back any time to think. She will put the opposition on their heels. Her strength is in her speed of play with the ball at her feet and her quality with either foot. She stretches the field for her side with her dynamic play from the wing. Her defensive work is really strong in her player profile. She tracks back and wins tackles for her side. She's a weapon in the press. She is an outside back for [program_tooltip program_id='283453' first='Rockford' last='Raptors'] 08 ECNL. She had a beautiful slide tackle to stop one attack. The defensive play showcased her athleticism. She is a two-way player and gets forward when the opportunity is available. She is right footed, but hits a very good cross with her left. She's got the athleticism and determination to be a starting outside back at the college level. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Lundberg played outside back for Internationals during the postseason run. She was outstanding at left back. Her positioning and read of the game were her best attributes. She had a couple of key clearances from the games thanks to those soccer smarts. Lundberg is also an asset in the attack. She's an excellent dribbler and keeps close control of the ball. She has the technical quality to cut inside and become a playmaker through the center channel. She can play center forward or winger. Her best attributes is her hold-up play and her finishing instincts. She has a good first touch and shows remarkable strength on the ball. She holds off defenders and looks comfortable playing with her back to the goal. She is excellent at retaining possession for her side. She is an attacking midfielder. She was one of the top left-footed playermakers from the 08 age group. She had a goal and an assist for her squad during the event. Her delivery from set pieces set her apart from her peers with her placement and consistency. Todd stole the show in some games with her pace to get in behind the opposition and composure to finish chances. Shellito is fearless off her line with good hands. She snags the ball in traffic with confidence. Her athleticism and instincts shine in broken play situations when she is only focused on securing possession of the ball.
