Girls’ College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 36

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Congratulations to all who have made their commitments. Now it's time for a scout grade. Some will be happy others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong and I hope you do. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments mean nothing until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years. Many without even going on a visit to the school. Is this a good thing for the programs and the players? Only time will tell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is doing this season and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reel easy to access for scouts to evaluate as possible on your social media profiles. Really good pick up by the Miners here as Reeves is an elite multi sport athlete. Her track times are good enough to run at the division 1 level which gives her the ability to get on the end of a ton of through balls. Vales is headed to Sacramento State in 2027 and the Hornets should be very happy with this commitment. She is an outside player playing as a winger and outside back. Her dribbling prowess and athleticism will make for an excellent division 1 soccer player. Her end product needs to improve for her to really thrive at the next level. Istocki is headed to Michigan State in 2027. The Spartans are fantastic recruiters and this one is no different. She fits the Big 10's playing style and her athletic profile is a fast physical playmaker who can play anywhere along the front line. Perry is headed to the Ivy League and Dartmouth in 2027. She is an MVLA standout and top 40 California talent. She can pull the strings offensively and will scrap to win the ball back for her side. Big Green have everything to play for this season sitting at 6-2-3 and a chance to win the Ivy League. The Vandals will be thrilled to have acquired this young lady's commitment as she has excellent pedigree. Coming from a top club in Crossfire and a top 15 talent out of the state Washington Deal can play center back as well as defensive midfield. She is fantastic in the air which will take her far in her collegiate career. The Vandals are 4-4-6 this season and just got a huge recruiting victory with this one. Addcox has bounced around clubs in socal most recently being with Slammers. Hard to gauge her talent level as I could not find a highlight reel however the resume is there being with top clubs. Her film impressed me. She's a lanky outside player with a great left foot and clean on ball footwork. She is a Generation Adidas cup champion and looks like she has some more growth to add before she steps on campus. The Eagles are having a decent season sitting at 4-5-3.
