Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 44

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Congratulations to all who have made their commitments. Now it's time for a scout grade. Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. She has an excellent resume. Playing for Ireland and even scoring a fantastic hat-trick against Portugal. She has breakaway speed and can play anywhere along the front three although I think she is best at the 9. She is an FC Stars product headed to a program that is 5-7-4 although trending in the right direction from last season. She is a NC Courage Academy talent and is an ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference First Team selection. She is an excellent passer particularly on the dribble as she drives into space and dishes like Magic Johnson in his prime. The Pack are 5-6-4 although that doesn't tell the whole story as they are in the best conference in college soccer the ACC. Austin University in 2027. She has an excellent physical profile and I always like a dual sport athlete as Bingham is also a great basketball player. The Jack have had a good season so far with a ton of ties at 6-3-8. They will need to get a few more in the win column to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in November. She is a top 35 talent from the great soccer state of New York. She is an all action midfielder who covers a ton of ground. Top program historically who are currently 6-3-5 but have struggled to score goals this season. Nugent is a Scorpions ECNL Midfielder plays her high school ball at Braintree and is headed to a division 2 program who is having an off year at 3-6-2 this season. Although historically they have been very successful and a proven outfit at this level. But headed to a program who has already achieved a 10 win season is a great sign.
