Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 53

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Congratulations to all who have made their commitments. Now it's time for a scout grade. Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. The Mules have had an excellent season so far with 12 wins headed into a Patriot League Semi-Final against Colgate in the coming days. They definitely have an outside chance at an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament but to make sure they will to win these next two games. Fragnito is an excellent pick up for the already stacked Nittany Lions. She has an excellent first step, great instincts in front of goal and a top athlete. The Syracuse Development Academy standout was the Girl's Academy Finals MVP and is headed to a great program although having an off year by their standards at 9-7-3 and just losing to UCLA in the first round of the Big 10 tournament. Berkaw is a Michigan Hawks attacking player with a great burst of speed and relentless in her press. I would like to see her work on her end product before stepping on campus. The Boilermakers didn't have a great season on the field at 6-10-3 but have made huge strides in recruitment this year with some excellent pick ups. This program will be back in the top 25 in no time. She is a quick slippery winger who is very two-footed and has excellent touch. I would love to see her score more goals as she gets closer to arriving on campus. The Cowgirls just concluded their season at a respectable .500 (7-7-6) in a tough Mountain West Conference. Couldn't find very much on this one. Other then she is a Quince Orchard High School product. No club that I could find, highlight reel or accolades. VMI has not done very well this season only snagging two wins. Tough matchup against the #1 seed Tennessee Tech in the coming days. She is a two time Tennessee state champion in high school. Very physical, fast and competitive player who's film definitely left a good impression on me. She's very quick and possesses a powerful shot. Her film shows good technique and is headed to a program that did not have a great season with a 4-15 record.
