Five Illinois Standouts at ECNL KC

To say that she dominated in the defensive and middle thirds would be a big understatement. Displaying some outstanding communication and lateral movements on the defensive side to cut off through balls, while playing highly agressive defensing on the ball. With the ball at her feet, she showed superb touch around the ball while keeping her head up and looking to orchestrate counter-attacks. An exciting prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='211214' first='Lauren' last='Salvino']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Salvino scored the opening goal of the game I covered against FSA. What stands out the most to me about her game is her ability to run with long strides up and down the field. This put her in a great position for a finesse goal into the bottom left corner after a long run into the box. Above-average height at 5'8". She has a lot of potential if we see some more improvements on the technical side of things.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='211770' first='Addison' last='Sisnett']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her physicality and command in the goal really caught my attention. Very brave and quick off her line. Punching balls away from the box on a regular basis. DIstribution is also very consistent. She only allowed two goals in three games over the weekend with a pair of clean sheets. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Lila Gaddipati</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She controlled the midfield against FSA over this past weekend. Her playmaking abilities are extremely underrated. Setting up the first goal of the game when she blew by a defender and played a through ball into the attacking third for a tap-in. Assisted a couple more shots in this contest, too. Capable of playing in the middle of the field or on the wing. Physicality is an underrated part of her game, too. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Natasha Liberopoulos</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Raptors FC Goalie showcased come big time athleticism, with an incredible upper-90 save in the first half against Boise Thorns. She also shows good movement in and around the goal, and doesn't get on he ground when it isn't unnecessary. DIstribvution is something she'll definitely develop as she gets older.
