Alexa Patel played as a center back during this match for Chicago Inter ECNL G10. Patel had a number of opportunities in this to showcase her abilities in this match. She gave a great performance and helped prevent a number of chances. Patel showed to be a strong and confident defensive player who displayed a leadership role within the backline.

Additionally, she communicates often and helps organize marks while her team is out of possession. She is strong into challenges and tracks her marks well. Not only does she keep the backline together, but she is aware of what all is happening around her and can problem solve. Overall, Alexa Patel is a strong player within the backline that not only prevents chances often but helps keep the backline together within their own half.

She is ranked #2 in IL, #1 D, and #45 in the Nation.  Alexa recently played in the U.S. ODP National Team in Costa Rica (3/28-4/4/25).  Previous scouting reports note that she plays with a calm composure, intelligent positioning, and that she makes good decisions.  She also has good leadership qualities as she secured her backline and prevented any major threats during the final minutes of the game.  Alexa was also a member of the Galaxy Soccer Club, which won an ODP Far West Regional Championship in January of 2024.  Her consistency in making US ODP teams looks promising and hopefully we’ll get to see her on one of the USYN teams in the near future.

A very calm center back, Patel was able to help close out the win for Galaxy SC with her composure on Saturday. Her intelligent positioning, decision making, and leadership helped her backline remain calm and prevent major threats on goal in the dying minutes of their game.

Patel was outstanding in the game against STA. The defender handled the pressure from the opposition and the responsibility as the last line of defense. Patel did well in 1v1 defending when called upon, and was exceptional in decision-making when distributing the ball.
